I'm starting to wonder

is there a viable sitcom concept based on the doings of hobbyists and providers?

Retirement has gotten a bit stale, I can only drive my 86 sports cars so many times before i tire of them, and i've got well-paid functionaries looking after my fianacial well being.  Wife and kiddies are great, but even they go only so far.  I think i need a creative challenge.

Anyone want to toss out some ideas?  You might be embarking on a new career.  and if you manage to beat me into production, well, no hard feelings.  I'll be happy to appear in a cameo.

and before anyone rips my head off, you do not need to be a provider to be a "Drama Queen" heck, you do not even need to be female...

But I too, have wondered about the "entertainment" value of our hobby....

and by the way.... Shoshana Lowenstein  - was hot... how did you manage to let her slip away.

Hmm.  Drama Queen has potential i think for a pre-op TS character who stalls out or has serious misgivings or faces unexpected complications and delays prior to the surgical procedures required for sexual reassignment.

I'm thinking the basic premise here could be the wild and crazy and wacky and unpredictable mood swings brounght on by the ingestion of the chemicals and hormones prior to sexual reassigment.  I'd want to play it for laughs, of course, so we'd need a lot of comedic hooks to reel in the audience and move the plot. Plus I'd have to try to keep it acceptably PC and within Standards & Practices for any broadcast network. I'll think on this lots more though, and I appreciate the input.

Shoshona, yeah, that was a tricky one. That was one of the ripest teenage bodies  in North America. The best one since that little British actress Jane March. I think I got overly sensitive about the PR, and at the height of my series' popularity, about the big age difference between us.  Not that there's anyhing wrong with that, mind you.

Very good indeed.

My first note was the tentative preliminary working title [I kid you not] - The Tumenescent Zone.

I suggest you join the WGA and register that title.  You never know.

I'm guessing Mr Fisher is already a member, no doubt in long standing, of the Mile High Club.

But for those folks afraid to fly, i think we've blundered into an alternate membership route into that charmed circle.

I’ve been thinking; there hasn’t been a credible X rated “main stream” movie since Midnight Cowboy back in 1969.

I think there are enough open minded adults around to support one so why not make one staring Ron Jeremy as a frustrated old married guy who discovers TER?

That’s as far as I’ve gotten, but the possibilities are endless lol.

I am now reading Ron's book "The hardest (working) man in porn" and I have to say, that most of what he says - I get.  I think that there would be more than passing interest....  as I think this hobby has grown enormously since the internet...

IMO Ron Jeremy is repulsive, even when he was younger.  His porn was amatuerist, and his "kielbasa" at best, gross. Never saw him in one where the lady, no matter how good an actress was enjoying being "porked" by this pig of a man.

I have to say, that in every portrayal of Ron, that I have ever seen, he comes off as a decent human being.  His story, of which I have been aware since the early 80s, rings true to my generation....  One of my most common questions to faculty members (most my age) who try to come off as superior, and get the arroagant tone of "you could not possibly understand this" with me is "So, when did you first realize that you are NOT going to win the Nobel Prize in Medicine?"  That often stops them dead in their tracks....

Ron, like many of my gen - the baby boomers....  had dreams and ambitions....  and as with many things in life, his plans did not go as laid out.  And, I can tell you that my plans also failed to go as I had planned.  But he works hard, tries his best to do no harm to others and where others would have failed, succeeded in some things (much as many of the Baby Boom Generation).  I've met the guy several times... he would not know me from Adam... but he is alway gracious, and generous with his time - to me, a nobody in his world....  and when I see him having sex with a lady of quality, I see "everyman" having a shot with her....

Read his book, he describes both his triumphs, and his sadnesses... and he does have them.  So while you may not like him.... he is us.

there's a documentary about him foating around the cable stations. Very interesting guy. But even before I saw that I'd read about how he really wanted to be a serious actor but was severly typecast as not only a porn stud but a certified fat guy...plus he's funny; the perfect guy to play our lead role. Now; what kind of day job shall we give him?
