Required Provider Pre-screening Questions

I need some advice.    Is it normal for providers to ask for full name, home address, phone number and employer to confirm an appointment.    I fully understand the safty issue. However, usually name, confirming ID, plane ticket has been acceptable.  Should I stay clear of the provider requesting all the additional personal info?

Thanks for the advice.

Yes actually it is.  Most require first and last name, your direct work number {to your desk} and the main company number. The name of your company, and/or a provider reference.  Me personally I ask for name, home or work number and ID# with state of issue.  Sometime passport if applicable.  I conduct incalls in my home so I have to be very careful.  Besides it minimizes no-call/no-show.  I live in a very nice area so I need to know who is coming over.  The more comfortable I am the more I can have fun.....

Hope I helped a little.

Fondly,

And what if one is currently unemployed, or doing some freelance work? EOM

If you are freelancing their is usually a way to verify what you do and that you are not L.E> such as a license or a buisness card or a website etc. it may not be as easy however the important thing is our safety and if it takes a little longer that is o.k.

I agree that the provider needs to be protected (there are ALOT of weirdos out there).

However, there is a certain amount of discretion that the hobbyist should also be entitled to .  Asking too much information is uncomfortable for the hobbyist.  Think about it from our perspective....

Some information is not relevant, for example your employer.  I happen to work in marketing and PR for a large firm and discretion is a must!!!  Where I work really has no bearing on dates with a lady.  There are other ways to check on someone.

In addition, there is no guarantee that the information will be kept strictly confidential (although 99% of the time it is).  I had a case where a provider was unhappy with our time together (she did not like the review I posted) and she contacted me directly to complain.  What if I had HER REAL NAME, address and home phone and did the reverse.  Pretty freaky and out of line.....

I find that using a reference from another lady is usually a good way to go and works.  However, that does not help newbies.

Overly stringent screening also cuts down on business.  There are some agencies in NYC that practice his.  I was unable to get into one and went to another, where I am a long standing client.  I am sure there is a fine line between being careful (LE and weirdos) and welcoming clients.

Another perspective....

.......so I know the problem.  Luckily, I have a number of providers who are happy to provide references for me in such instances.  And I have yet to be turned down by a provider after giving them 1 or 2 names of other providers I've met.  I think that this type of referral system is the best way to verify a prospective client.

can be faked so they are not a good source of verifying anything.  I know many girls that got busted after viewing a plane ticket and out of state ID.  That's why girls these days are starting to ask for more solid info.  It is all to avoid getting in trouble.  If you have done your research then I'd say go for it but, if the girl is not well known or reviewed badly then definately don't.

To be honest I think I have one review on ter.  The regulars I have see me on Eros.  All are older and very independent minded. I have yet to have anyone call me from ter for an appointment.  So as a person who has not been reviewed much I do not feel my safety should be compromised because of that fact.  At present I see 3-5 clients a week and that is fine for me.  Quality over quantity.  I like my low-profile status it affords me a little piece of mind.  I have a way of checking ID's.  So I play it as safe as I can....

ps I am enjoying your posts.

While it's completely understandable why they must check ID I for one don't buy into the notion of giving out my work number or other personal data to a provider I have just met. Especially if she works for an agency. The provider herself may never do anything with this info but there are others within the agency who see a way of making a quick buck by using your name, CC # etc. BTW That's why you should always pay in cash. Or use your CC to get the cash advance first. That keeps a paper trail from being laid down back to your wife.

If my DL won't do it, then I will just say thanks but no thanks and be on my way.

I agree, while the provider should have some sense of security, I myself would like some too. I will gladly show (well will just show) my DL which I have in a couple instances, but anything further than that, not likely. Now if it is incall at her place (which you never can tell either) then it may be a different story, but still, I have a nice and private life and would like to keep it that way too.
