Ladies - what do you do if your regular loses his job?

Ladies,

Let's say you have a regular that you have been seeing every 2-4 weeks for a year.  You genuinely enjoy his company, so much so that you have been visiting at his home and always end up staying longer than the schedule time, because you truly enjoy yourself.

And then, he gets laid off of his job - you know him well enough that he is being truthful about it.  He tells you that he cannot afford to treat himself to your company until he finds another job.  In this job market, that could be 3 or 6 or more months.  What do you do?  Try to offer a different plan until the job turns around?  Accept the fact that you won't see him for a long period of time?

WTF you think she's gonna do? She's gonna answer Jodie's request for a change. Ho's gotta eat too.

Shit. You scared she'll enjoy her 'longer stays' with him more than you? Of course she will. He's buyin' and you're triflin'.

Fuck. He might even have the inside on a mailroom job if you play your cards right and you'll be back in no time. ;)

Will my regular keep seeing me anyway until I find another one?

No money, no honey... no honey, no money... this is business among friends, and if it becomes too much more than that on either side, someone is going to get hurt

Couple years back, I saw an old friend at a M&G.  She said that she missed me.  I told her that I'd taken a hit to my income and had cut back on discretionary spending.  She looked really mad and told me that she missed me, not my money and that I needed to spend some time with her.  I never took her up on it because I felt I'd be taking advantage of her, but we spent enough time off the clock that I knew she meant it.

When a woman wants to have sex with you, it's because she wants to have sex with you.

Then there is no money needed. It has nothing to do with her "being nice" like you are an orphan and she is giving you a hot meal out of pity.

I don't think that is what the question was. It was a "regular" - someone who always pays.

Otherwise, the question would be "If you like a client and enjoyed the sex, would you have sex with him for free?"

Yes, I would, depending on the circumstances... but there would have to be a LOT of chemistry and compatibility. And it would have to be in my spare time when I am not "working," so scheduling would pose a problem.

This is not unheard of. But that's not the spirit of the question. It was more about pity for his lack of funds, not natural attraction and chemistry.

Again, a guy isn't going to pay a girl out of pity when you can't fulfill your end of the arrangement. He'll just find a new regular.

While we get along quite well, we both know the deal.  I don't fuck her if I can't pay and she charges guys for sex.  What occurred in this particular case was a combo of us getting along well and incredibly smart marketing.  She was risking the loss of $500 and trading that for a potential ATF.  The worst outcome for her was that she'd lose an income opportunity and receive no future revenue.

Some ladies go the extra mile, or a few hundred extra miles, for their favorite regulars.

just like how WKs constantly leak secrets off the RO board going extra lengths to kiss ass for their favorite ladies.

Again, this goes back to asking about the woman's feelings for the guy, not about regulars in general.

When a guy is a regular, she may be his ATF, but she may have a different favorite guy. He may be a regular to her just because he is regular income and nothing more. He invites he over, so she goes.

A regular and a favorite are two different things.

This OP didn't mention him being her favorite or any special feelings... just that he was a regular.

I hardly see how a provider would feel obligated to give freebies while the guy is looking for a new job in order to keep his loyalty anymore than a restaurant should give free food when you can't afford to eat there hoping you will come back when you can.

If the food is good, you will come back when you can afford it.

But wanting to spend time with the guy whether he pays you or not or not wanting to lose your ATF or someone you like a lot is very different.

So, will a provider still see you if you can no longer afford her services if she likes you? Yes, that can and does happen. But don't expect it just because you are a regular and don't get hurt about it if she doesn't. She's under no obligation any more than you are.

hire me and work as her gigalo... and let me work on the side too.

Maybe the two of us can start an agency together and cater to both male / female market. lol
But then again, I think she'd make hundred times more than I would make in the business. ;)

Seriously though, there are some very kind and caring providers who even offer to help out during hard times. Depends on how close you are to her. She certainly has the money and if she cares about you enough, she might even be your sugar mama.

Fact: Women are nurturing to people they really truly care about.

While I truly enjoy the gentlemaen I visit with, and consider many of them friends, I still have a part time "business" to run.  I am not a "clock watcher", so my dates usually last a little longer than scheduled, but I also know that I cannot "afford" to give too much time away, as I only do this part tme.

I appreciate you empathy for his situation, but you have to ask yourself: if you could no longer work, would your lawyer, doctor, accountant, nail tech, etc come up with an alternative form of payment plan for you, or not charge you at all?  I consider myself a professioanl, and my time is just as valauble as those who schedule time with me.

  Just my .02.

Hugs and Kisses

If she really likes the guy, she could offer him a very special rate that he can afford until he finds a new job.  Big problem with that is, will he be willing to go back to original rate later on when he is working again.....  But with no income at all, he still might not be able to see her anyway, even with a really low rate.

Or she can just see other clients and wait until he can afford to see her.  She can enjoy herself with other guys too.  How does she know he enjoys her company as much as she apparently enjoys his?  He might be enjoying her generous current rate, or she is just convenient to him.

I agree with other posts that in the end this is your call, but as a Hobbyist, I would never expect to play without being able to pay.  It's nice to see you have a heart though, I was beginning to wonder (not about you lol, but this line of commerce in general.)

btw would never ask, but if offered . . . .

Between business and friendship. Becareful not to confuse the two.

If it were me.. I would offer him a discounted rate and suggest he see me less often until he gets back on his feet.. But, beyond that if you ask her to see you off the clock for a few freebies. YOU ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE SITUATION.. You would never, go to work for free so why should she? Now if your relationship with her and it is a real and genuine relationship then.. I am assumng you are single and so is she and you two are talking about a future together and all is well.. right!

I agree!!  NOBODY works for FREE!!!!  This is a BUSINESS for these ladies.  I have had an ATF that offered a really low rate to be sex buddies and I was good with that.  I don't think I would do it with a provider for free....then they could unlease thier drama and baggage on me.  That's WHY we pay for sex guys!  HELLO!  wake up...STOP dreaming.  We pay for SEX so we don't have to hear drama and bullshit (like in a dating or marriage relationship).  You might pay for sex because you can't get laid otherwise and that is a cmpletely different conversation!  Fat, old, guys pay because they can't get laid otherwise....Come on people.  Stop being dreamers and BE REAL

Dear MistressJessica:
Considering that this would happen a lot in this economic climate, what are some of the things that you would do to identify, cultivate and retain frequent and repeat clients? Also during certain periods when it might be dead or slow like Christmas or Thanksgiving would you tend to offer certain specials when good clients would want to book with you for multiple hours? Finally although it is unconventional would you send an email to a prospective client once you have identified him as an active participant of the hobby or would you identify them through other venues such as meet and greets or functions that hobbyist and providers would gather? I just wanted to pick your brain and see where and how you would select certain frequent clients in the event that someone who patronized you frequently was unable to do so anymore for a variety of reasons. I am sure that certain providers who put all their eggs in one basket might find themselves in this predicament and might have to use a typical methods to increase or give sustenance to business.

He is a regular, the OP gives no hint of special feelings for him.   I think it sets a bad precedent to give freebies & frankly if he has lost his income, he probably should shut down hobbying until he is employed again.  Unemployed = NO discretionary cash.   He has said he can not afford to play until he gets another job...  he has made the right call.  I don't think she should encourage him to spend his any part of his unemployment on her...  and he has wisely not asked for a discount.
She should assure him that he'll recieve the perks & benifits of "Regular" status when he returns after the break.

If I were in that situation, I'd be touched that he thought enough of me to let me know what was going on and why he wouldn't be seeing me as much or at all for a while. And I'd respect his new need to conserve as much money as possible, and not try to haggle him into seeing me anyway.

we both agree its a business and one that needs to stay that way.

What about my response bothers you, the blunt matter of fact additude?

Its a reality this is a business, we are at work,
The ppl who ask questions like this seem to need a reality check. They just dont get it on their own.
Being nice to someone is not what we are paid for. By nature most ppl are nice, but not foolish.
No it doesnt need to be so *in your face* til you dont seem to get it. Thus the reality check.

Besides, I have seen some of your posts, you of all ppl should be the last one to critisize a blunt post.

I don't consider "haggling", for example, to be a sweet-as-pie kind of a word. ;) I'd consider a provider trying to get a client to see her even though she knows he's in a bad financial position haggling at best, and smarmy at worst. He already said he can't afford it; it's rude to try to pull money out of him anyway.

being "bothered" would be an emotional response.

What in Lucifer's Evil Dominion would lead you to think I might be the least bit bothered your view?

I dont get my nails done.
I dont go for a massage
I dont work with a trainer
I dont eat out
I dont go on vacation and so on.

All these things are Luxury status

I have no right to expect my nail tech trainer restaurant lawyer dr and so on to just cut me some slack cuz Im now broke.
They are nice to me but its business in the end.

This is a luxury and if ya cant afford it, go pick someone up in a bar.

She very well may enjoy your company but this is a business and I do not think she or anyone in it needs to explain why they wont just give it away.
