. . . in my experience that's usually one of the first questions that providers ask me.
No one asks me, but I invariably volunteer it when I tell the provider about myself. I also wear a wedding ring, which probably tips them off.
I'm no longer married and I don't wear any ring.
Your question makes the erroneous assumption that you need to or should conceal the fact that you are married from a provider.
On the contrary, not only should it not matter whether or not you are married, it is actually wise to let her know if you are married or involved in a serious relationship.
First off, I tend to assume that most of the men I see are probably headed home to a wife or girlfriend after they leave me. Its not my place to question or judge a man for that. Your choices are your choices.
However, if I know there is another woman in there somewhere, I will give your neck (and other places) a good look to make sure there are no tell tale lipstick marks on it. I'll check to see that there are no stray hairs clinging to your shirt or jacket before you leave. I'll be careful not to let my enthusiasm leave nail marks on body parts that would be difficult to explain.
For these and many reasons not only should you not feel that you need to hide a relationship from a provider, telling her about your relationship may be the smartest thing you can do.
Credit goes to Tori of Atlanta. A post by her was one of the first posts I ever read on this board, and this was something she mentioned. I took the words to heart, and more than a few gentlemen have been appreciative of the gesture.
See? This board is great ![]()
responsible lady that knows the business and the fact that most of her clients are married. I agree that there is no need to hide the fact.
Personally, I don't want anyone asking me if I have a boyfriend or a husband. Not that I do, because I don't, but that's a little personal. Now, if it comes up in conversation and the gentleman talks about it, then I don't have a problem with him telling me he's married. I'm always careful about not giving hickeys, smearing lipstick on someone and wearing perfume. I always ask if someone is allergic to oils or perfumes and if they mind if I wear perfume? And guys, showers always help afterward. Give your goodbye kiss before you enter the shower if you're worried and keep your own cologne handy.

he's there to see me for!!!
One way or the other it doesn't change anyting!
What I think is funny.. is why they care we are married or engaged..odd
we want to know if it's OK to propose to you right there on the spot! ![]()
You got it darlin'. Inquiring minds want to know. And, if they are single, I want to know how they managed to escape for so long. As a single provider there is kind of a cool comraderie if my friend is also. We can bemoan the singles dating scene and pat ourselves on the back for finding the hobby. Solves a LOT of problems if you are single. NO lying necessary, NO waiting for me to ask you when we're gonna get married, NO dishes to wash because I didn't have to impress you with my culinary skills, NO putting up with snoring, yours or mine, because one of us goes home. NO worrying that you think I'm a slut because I put out too soon.
If you're married, I like it even more. I get to enjoy the good parts and your SO gets to put up with your snoring.
Works for me.

Most wear their ring so it's pretty obvious.

On my very first experience, I was so excited to get started, I left on my wedding ring, another ring, a necklace, and my watch. At the end of the session, the provider gently suggested that next time I might remove all those things prior to arriving, because they can get in the way. So I just got in the habit of doing that. Not trying to hide anything.
