Questions for women with websites

Hi... Popular demand has dictated that I come up with a website and I'm working on one now.  It's almost ready to post to the internet, but I have some questions for those of you who have had sites for awhile:

1.  Where would you recommend that I post it?  I don't want a lot of advertising, and I'm willing to pay (how much?  I don't know enough to decide that yet).  I think I'm going to need a fair amount of bandwidth, so geocities and tripod are out.

2.  Would any of yall let me copy the text from your first page disclaimers?  Of course I would give credit where credit is due.

3.  If you would like for me to add a link to your website, please email me at [email protected] and I'd be happy to do so.

Thanks!

Love,
Anne

You mention that you already have your page completed and that is great.  Email me privately so we can chat. I will be glad to assist you on other matter.

As I think that many of us require similar disclaimers as well as have many of the same FAQs--so please feel free to ultilize any of mine if they suit you.

Also, the person who designed my website (at a very reasonable fee--if you still have any design-related issues to resolve) also hosts it at a very reasonable rate. You might want to contact him about his hosting services--as I'm quite happy with them...and I don't have to worry about one of the free sites shutting my site down due to a complaint about its content. If you have any more questions that I might be able to answer--feel free to e-mail me: [email protected]

Good luck with your new site! :)

...which is not uncommon, admittedly, but what a great build-up to your soon-coming Web site!

I use www.doteasy.com for hosting. Hosting is free if you transfer your domain name for $35. You can get $9.99 monthly hosting if you need extensive server space or more traffic capability, but I've always found them to be reliable.

I, being Caucasian - let's face it, being 100% WASP, have a major theoretical problem with any provider who specifies Causian only, as does your website.

I decided that the ignorant are best left to remain dormant...the energy and effort expended to try to show them the prejudice of their ways is wasted. They are not going to change their mindset, and I have already made my point many times over, so why bother?

Besides, all it will lead to is more asine replies such as "I'm not racist, I have lots of black friends..."

GFE, and PP... I really appreciate your generosity.  My website is coming along nicely... hoping to get it loaded to the internet before I leave town for DC.

Love,
Anne
