Does RS2K referral include your real name!? I have never used a service myself but always assumed that your listing would be an alias. Am I wrong?

If they do use ANY real info, why in the fuc would you ever need/use them!?

A few weeks ago, I got screened by a helper for a provider. I told her my RS2K information, and out of nowhere, she asks for my TER handle. I provided it not really thinking about it, but quickly realized that I connected my real name with my TER activity. There is nothing wrong with my TER reviews or anything, but I feel insecure knowing my name is directly tied to my TER account, and in the hands of someone who I don't know if I can trust or not trust. I didn't even hear back from her after that, so it was all for nothing.

Yes, real name is required for rs2k. It's really more about the fear of her carelessly scribbling my name and TER handle on a piece of paper, and not bothering to shred it or be discrete.

I'm sure the screener filed it away somewhere.  There are people with the same exact name walking and breathing all over the world.  IF it comes back to haunt you, you can always deny it and state your identity was stolen a few years ago ...  Mine was, and someone tried to take out a $200,000 mortgage in my name!  The loan officer knew something was fishy when the name given does not 'match' her and the authorities were summoned to haul her butt to jail.

I thought the point of RS2K and other verification services was that your real world info stayed with them and did not get passed along to the provider.  Can someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

can read the the person's reviews and get an idea of what they like and don't like.

On the other hand, it could be somewhat restraining in terms of being totally candid about writing a review since many clients fear offending a provider and getting some kind of grief about it.

It's a double edged sword.

Aside from the fact that no one accepts it in my area.
You do provide your real first and last name.
Also the city you live in.
I could see how this can be a big problem to a guy with a wife and kids.
I myself have no reason to fear being outed. I'm sure I am the exception though.

As bostonguy said you give that info to RS2K, but they do not give that info to the provider.

So what do you give to the provider?
Have I been giving out my name and location for nothing?
There was no account number given to me.
The lady who encouraged me to get it used that info to verify me.
BTW She is now here on TER.  See if you can guess who she is.

Most of us providers are not saving your ID's to use them in a bad way. I believe this thread is more paranoid then anything.

is cutting and pasting your prior reviews and send them to her, so she can read but you still remain anonymous via your review name?

When trying to book with a girl that uses RS2K, you're supposed to provide her with the phone number you registered with RS2K - that's all you need to do. The girl shouldn't be asking for additional info, has RS2K has already asked those questions, which is the point of her using RS2K.

Why would she then also ask for your TER id? How did she know you were a member on TER or ever even heard of it? TER is a place for me to post reviews, and make comments concerning the Escort lifestyle. To my knowledge it is not a screening site, so if an escort asks for my TER id I say "What's TER?"

So the answer is Yes I have been giving out my name for nothing.

Careful about your information though, and don't believe everything you read.

I'm just trying to understand this whole notion of how your real name is tied to your TER account.

That being said, it all comes down to you trusting her, but the smarter thing would be for you to change the method by which your real name is attached to your TER account.  I mean, TER has your real name if you are paying with a credit card for VIP.  But unless your actual real name shows up for some reason, I guess I'm not understanding how your real name is tied to your TER screenname.
