If given as a tip...

I think it is wrong to give anything but cash.  Why give something that is like cash, only less flexible?

Now a gift, on the other hand, is both a gesture of friendship and appreciation as well as showing a desire to give something that will be regarded as a keepsake as well as showing that the giver understands something of the woman's tastes (especially if it is clothing.)

Sometimes I will take a person on a shopping spree so that they can have to fun of shopping for what they want, but that's something else entirely.  More like an activity we can do together.

The other day I had a gentleman mention he thought of getting me a Target gift card, but then changed his mind thinking it would be too "low class" of a gift. Oh to the contrary. I LOVE Target and would have accepted such a thoughtful gift with amazing gratitude. Now I must admit when asked where do I like giftcards from I say Gucci first, but that does not mean giftcard from Target, BestBuy or Macy's are not as good. Just be mindful to pick a place your favorite lady frequents and you cannot go wrong.

Finally, any gift or tip as a way to show your gratitude is welcomed and considered a compliment.

Ladies, I encourage you to chime and let our those wonderful gentlemen know how much we appreciate their thoughtfulness.

Kisses,
Vanica

I sorta agree with Mrfisher. I would like to expand on what I mean.

When you feel enough in your heart to give her something, it should be ok.  However, for it truely to be heart felt, you must know what your provider likes/dislikes.

Take the time to find out what she likes.  Each lady is like a diamond and unique in everyway.  If you find out what she likes (whether a Target gift card or Macy's or shopping trip$) and find the right gift, you will make your "diamond" shine even more.

;)

I can think of one reason a client might prefer to give a gift card rather than a cash tip...

A gift card can be put on a credit card with other purchases from a store.  So If he were shopping at Target and buying a number of things he needed, to add to the bill a gift card would only increase the total that shows up on the credit card statement (unless he would show the actual receipt to his wife or SO) and that might be less noticeable than taking cash from an ATM, or taking more cash from an ATM.

Just a thought on why some might rather give a gift card than cash.

. . . whether they be cash, gift cards, candles, flowers, candies, etc.

and I won't... nothing wrong with it, but not for me.
So when a gentleman does bring a gift of any kind, flowers, candy or whatever, I'm always very grateful...

There's lots of great things to buy at Target...CD's, DVD's when they have sales, you get more for the buck!!!!

Thanks guys for being thoughtful in any way!
