IMHO that's a party for my private life. In fact, its a party I've very much enjoyed in my private life. The reason it worked is that I initiated it because 1) I knew she would love it and 2) I thought my friend would have a blast and 3) when all was said and done she was still my girl.  But those are not the reasons most of us would go to see a provider. We're there because we're missing something from our SOs or maybe we don't have time for an SO at the moment. But the relationship dynamic is completely different between real life and hobby life.
