Anyone ever use Facebook to contact a retired provider ?

I did; great communications between myself & lady in question for awhile, then, mysteriously, all communications from her ceased several months ago. I don't think I'm at fault for this because I never saw her use the words "restraining order"---------LOL !

So my Q to the board : have hobbyists contacted retired providers through FB & vice versa ?

I've never "contacted" a provider through FB though I have been "on" FB with one or two.  I have seen a few provider FB pages disappear very abruptly. FB and illegal activities don't really mix too well.  You may not have been bothering her but it's quite possible that some others were so she simply pulled the plug on her account.

communications were great before "the silence"------ I know I wasn't blocked, so I can't figure it out. She stopped communicating & after the "long silence", so did I.

I think Bostonguy is correct; she is ignorning you. Unless she's using her FB accout for business then you are invading her personal space.

for the most part providers are faking their interest in hobbyists during their time in the business.it is part of the business for them.that's why you don't get idle chatter from them between appointments.

I know that i have not been able to access my facebook page ...i have been blocked.
I believe it is because my email has been hacked.
This happened for the first time a few months ago ..possibly it happened to her.
I was surprised to see i had been blocked.
It is a bummer and i miss my facebook  friends and have no idea how to get unbloccked..
Just thinking the time frae is the same? Dana Hayes

I am not at all sure why a RETIRED provider would have a FB page with her STAGE NAME
if she is retired. OTOH why if you're now someone is retired would you find her on FB.
Why bring it here? Retired is just that RETIRED. I can only imagine how many inquiries you
got asking WHO IS IT?  I hope you value discretion . I hope you get the hint.

I just wanted to use this forum as a sounding board on this matter & get some opinions on this. I do value discretion, destest stalkers, so I certainly won't indulge in that sort of crazed behavior & as I hope others on this board won't do. If someone wants their privacy, I respect that greatly; OTOH, I've had retired providers contact me & it didn't bother me at all. Different, "ahem" strokes.

Don't providers use stage names like dancers do?  How can hou get their facebooks if you do not have their name?

LOL

I would imagine that she'd find that somewhat intrusive whether she was retired or not.  Mongers and providers are entitled to their own private lives where they do not have to mix reality with playtime acquaintences.

But if I was you, I'd just wait until she unretires, because you know the welcome back tour is just a matter of time :D

I will, however, keep it in the back of my mind for when I lose all sense of decency, maturity, and self-restraint.....and decide to become a creepy stalker-fucktard.

I would not want a provider contacting me in that manner, so I absolutely would never contact one in that manner.

Just my two cents.

there IS the "stalker factor" to contend with,( I DETEST stalkers ), so, unless she communicates with me, I'll never contact her again. sanity & common sense.

I just talked with one I had seen twice before she retired, and she was actually very glad to hear from me.

Other times, I've gotten the, "Sorry, I'm retired" response.

The key is to be polite.  And if she says, "Sorry, wrong number," that's your hint to never call/contact that number again.

In fact I did some time ago with an old lover.  Just a half dozen words that would only mean something if she was who I thought.  We switched contact to my secure email account after that...  FB is for sharing family photos...

just because even though you think like you REALLY know her well enough, to believe that any public contact will be harmless, you just cannot be 100% sure. Found a lady here who has an account was almost added her as a friend when I was a bit too drunk. Glad I did not that day. LOL

I am not sure if the lady will view your contact as intruding her personal space. After all, they "kind of"  have the option to filter their contacts anyways.

I realize these sites are fun, and lead to some interesting hook up situations, but hell's bells, these sites are rife with kids and kids and the hobby is a very explosive and dangerous mix.
