I have been blessed to make genuine connections on this TER board. I am grateful to have a place to share my proudly perverted self. lol I’ve made many friends for life in this awesome community.😊

Thank you TER! Cheers to the years. Smile for me!

Can honestly say that since I have found TER have never had the BAD experience , had some disappointments but not like before.
I also believe that as much as many providers dislike this site should look back and wonder how they are getting X and hour.
Have seen a number of providers get their reviews here when they started or were found and in time at all seen then with more clients they can handle at 2x .
Have also seen providers with an oversized opinion of herself see what the too ladies are advertising  sessions or and raising rates and pricing themselves out of the market.’
Lastly have seen providers receive a so so review and take it constructively and next one take it as an insult.
Which one is still prospering in the industry months and years later?

BITOD you got dates from the back pages of local weekly papers or the yellow pages. (You youngsters can Google that)
So nice to have at least some idea of who's going to be on the other side of the door and what kind of experience you're likely to have.
I don't miss the pre-TER days.

TER is what got me to try out this thing we do. My plan was to try it once to say I did it. It didn't quite work out that way.

Prior to my discovery of TER I had this stereotypical image in my mind of what ladies in this business were like - cold, distant, wanting to get it over with, no passion, etc. I guess that is how we usually view street walkers. I thought "why pay for that? I'd rather do it myself".

Once I got VIP and started reading reviews I was amazed and learned what GFE is. I had to try it for myself. That was 7 years ago and I'm still at it.

I'm very happy to have connected with you and actually getting to meet you was a wonderful experience my friend.

None of it would have been possible with out TER.

100% agree my wonderful friend. I just wish I knew you had a thing for jet black hair. I would have brought my long black wig to role play. Next time lover. Xoxo 💋

I can't stand wigs either. Major turn off.

* thats hot* -just my opinion!! ;-)

I joined in 2010 when TER ruled the world. I learned a lot here and made lots of friends, which led to some amazing experiences. I really did live the dream and I still have some TER friends from the bad old days. I wish TER could return to those heights but that doesn't seem likely, which is sad. But I'll stick around anyway. I guess I'm addicted to the place.

Me too. I received my first review in 2013 when I was still in Montreal and this opened doors for me to start touring in the US prior to relocating to Las Vegas.  I especially miss the meet and greets in Manhattan and Vegas which seemed to happen with regularity and allowed me to meet folks in the community.  We would socialize because we enjoyed each other’s company, and shared a love of this hobby that was more than just a business.

Sadly I lost touch with almost all those people when I took my hiatus/during Covid.

I still love this community and I still enjoy reading my reviews. I love participating on the forums, getting to know various personalities and sharing my stories. I even enjoy a friendly debate from time to time.

I often wonder if there’s a chance we will get back to those old days, or if the industry has changed overall?  I realize I am part of an older generation now, and as such, I may not have so much in common with the young women coming in to the business, who seem to have a different approach in general.

I attended and also helped host M&Gs in NY and LV until 2016. They were absolutely great.

I know I attended several M&G in LV with my better half long ago it was a blast. I recall making out with another provider at one event. Another M&G in Sin City I was super pregnant & my feet were super swollen. lol 😂

I didn’t want to miss out on the action. TER M&G’s long ago was so much fun. 🤩 I used to go to meet the providers because I had a huge crush on several. I met Nikki Avalon at a LV meet & greet it was a highlight for me. 😎❤️

I did meet Nikki Avalon at one of the LV M&Gs my friends and I threw. We had two consecutive parties in a suite at Mandalay Bay.

I imagine we may have. My first m&g in Vegas was in early 2015.  I know a couple people also helped host - we may have some common acquaintances.

Good times!

The two M&Gs I helped host at the Mandalay Bay were on AVN weekend in late January. I was wearing a dark suit and a pair of little red horns, and introduced myself as "Satan," if that rings a bell, LOL. No cape like this guy....

The AVN 2015 event I attended, but it was at a private home?  I actually still have the email with the address sent the night before.
If I remember correctly (assuming I’m not confusing events) there was a pool table on the second floor and either a pool or hot tub in the yard where some late night shenanigans unfolded. Sadly I had left by then, and missed those!

I was at that one. It was actually two houses in a compound. My room was in the other house, as I was part of the group that hosted. The hot tub was epic. Sorry we seem not to have met. I'd forgotten that was 2015. The Mandalay Bay parties were the two years before.

I met so many folks that night it really was a bit of a whirlwind, so it’s possible we did meet and I simply do not remember. After all it has been a minute!

Maybe we need to consider a 10 year reunion in 2025?   LOL!

You are right Tianna, the whole industry is different now. I did not really start on TER until I started doing sex work full time, which I think was in 2017. Before that I was very part time and just did BDSM.
So much of sex work now is online with only fans, live shows, custom clips, etc. I know some gals have started these an another revenue stream which is fine. I am old school prefer in person.
I am in Wisconsin and I would say in the whole state there is maybe 400 sex workers? This would obviously be the ones that advertise, so not UTR or those that may be doing survival sex work.
I have been doing a lot of research on the history of sex work in my state and from 1920 until around 1950 (approx.) there was a whore house in every town, sometimes multiple. And we are talking about towns that were around 2,000 people. Why? There were very little better paying professions for women. And if a woman got pregnant out of wedlock or her husband left her she had very few options that paid as well as sex work. Being a sex worker was one of the highest paying options at that time. Steet walking slowly took over as the houses were shut down and then the internet which all of us rely on today in the  industry, and well, life. And obviously lots of societal safety nets and many more employment options for women have greatly reduced the amount of women that feel they have no other employment options.
What keeps us apart physically? The internet. What brings us together? The internet. It has been very helpful in so many aspects but also a curse. I am 44 right now and probably will retire at 50, but who knows?
Sex work will always exist, but as to how it will eventually look and how it will evolve is anyone's guess.

I often look at those old movies showing the whores in the saloons and think that seems much more appealing than being a farmers wife. But is also looks like they dealt with a lot of unwashed drunks and creeps, so I guess there was a definite downside.

I think geography plays a part as well. When I lived in Montreal I was part of a collective/cooperative called Indy Companion. We pooled resources and shared advertising, incall space, and offered community to our fellow sex workers. What started as a small group of sisters grew into a larger organization which even included some male escorts.  We organized various events and some ladies were actively promoting sex workers rights in our community.  We would meet for brunch and swap stories and we kept a database of incident reports with bad clients for safety.

I’ve never had a similar experience in Las Vegas. I’ve worked with providers and even considered some friends, but there is a definite competitive sense here and a very business like tone in general.  I feel quite isolated here in comparison. Maybe that’s why I like coming on these forums and posting, looking to feel connected to a community of sorts. Shrug.
Not complaining, just observing.

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing!!

... and TER has been key for me over the years. My current issue is that, while pleased to have many White List referrals, I took myself out of this mad pursuit when the pandemic hit. So while I'm eager to get involved once again, my references are somewhat out of date. Ideas? xxx Michael

You are NYC? You may want to touch base with 420Eva, I think he is in NY also.
Be prepared....things are a lot different now.....

Seems like you're going to have to bite the bullet and see a few ladies who would accept you without references but with RWI. There is no other option really.

Seems like more women are not accepting references these days anyway.
