They do tend to offer wide selection, lower pricing and last minute avails with limited screening so I get it why they are popular.
I just don't like the added LE risk.
I've seen some girl's ads,who claim to be indies pop up on an agencys website. So who really knows for sure..
I've noticed an increasing trend where touring indies do choose to co-list with some local agencies in some cities.
I think it's supposed to work out as a win-win and I can't even cover all the ways:
1. One basic assumption is that the indy knows and trusts the agency to properly screen or only make introductions to reliable, verified clients.
2. Agency gets more cred and more traffic by listing a popular touring indy on their site.
3. Indy gets extra and new interest from guys checking out their local agency.
4. Agency can redirect interest from Indy ("I'm sorry, she's booked until Thursday ...") to a less well known girl on their site ("... but you might like to meet NewGirl who is available at the time you requested.")
5. There is also a presumption of mutual trust that the Agency will not cheat the Indy and the Indy will not cheat the agency. (I think that one agency owner explained that when she agrees to co-list an Indy on her site, that it's for a full work-day and that Indy will not be scheduling her own appnts for THAT day.) (Likewise, I'm sure that the Indy expects to be fairly rep'd to callers and not used at bait to shift callers to agency girls who might pay a bigger cut to the agency.)
6. I assume that the split represents the different division of labor: some Indies will handle their own travel and hotel; some Indies might let the agency help with some aspects of trip planning.
Other pros and cons?

Or just use the word pimp, "handler" "booker" "scheduler" "pimp" what the fuck is the difference, who ever is handling the logistics of an appointment could face the same charge.
And I'm not offended by the words "handler" or even "pimp." First of all, "scheduler" and "booker" are the same thing. They are usually paid employees and take a very small cut. A screener might get a bigger cut because that's a safety issue. I don't even know what "handler" means so I'll leave that one alone. But a pimp takes all her money and gives her just enough to get by on. To me, pimp=trafficked.
And, yes, they might all face the same charge, as if that matters.

A lot of girls in agencies aren't even aware of the preliminary bs that occurs when an Indy is arranging her schedule. I was decently naive to it for a good while and had assumed it was mostly straightforward interactions, with the odd weirdo turning up on rare occasions. The concept of the 'time waster' was largely foreign because I just showed up for the appointments.
Some just don't like worrying about logistics, such as setting up an incall, and so they find an agency helps minimize that. Others are daunted by the thought of handling the screening and hucksterism. Yes, an agency does help with some hobbyist bs, but you'll still deal with that during the session, if the guy is a jerk who passed screening.
You can still see agency girls without going through the agency. Indy providers make for great connectors: many started out in agencies and still keep in touch with their former coworkers. There's plenty of exchanges and referrals that go on between friends. I've been set up with plenty of guys that way and it went very smoothly. Next time you are with an indy, ask her about that.
I avoid entirely. Independents only!
