I don’t do web forms ...

So bummed there’s two ladies I want to see one local and one while I’m traveling, but I don’t do web forms and their emails are both gmail. One of them is P411 gal so might try that.

I don’t do web forms because I have no idea how and with whom you set it up. And I have no idea how you acquire or access the info I sent you. With Wix and other shitty websites it’s usually unencrypted email and that’s no bueno for me.

Proton or similar encrypted email should be bare minimum for both guys and gals. It’s not perfect but it’s a huge improvement over gmail - or yahoo or att or verizon or comcast - etc.

Web forms may be convenient for companions but imho smart guys should always avoid them. I know gals gotta sift thru dozens of shitty emails - and web forms can improve the quality of inquiries, but I don’t think they’re worth the risk for either party.

What are you so afraid of transmitting..

Your most critical information, that you probably have shared with 100s of people in your life time, is already out there on the dark web. Data leaks happen all the time. How often do you turn on the news and hear about this data leak or that one compromising information of thousands of Americans.  

 
Now if you are talking about not sharing certain type of information, then I am more than happy to have that conversation. For e.g. I will never share my social media profile (Facebook or LinkedIn or anything else).  But that has nothing to do with the medium in which information is transmitted. It has to do with the information itself.  

 
Take a step back and look at the big picture.  Forms are good, IMHO and make everyone's life easier.

Depends…

…I would not upload any files or photos if they request that, but if it is just a request for the basic information (name, age, etc) and the date time of service, then what is the big secret?

Anyone can get that on a data broker site anyway.

With that being said, I have had some provider websites get flagged by my anti-virus application….those stay far away from.

The best websites I have seen are usually just one page that you can scroll, pictures and contact information front and center, and then scroll for rates, etiquette, etc.

I use Gmail & it’s not difficult to send an email with the details.

I’ve been around for a long time & everyone complains about something. I receive inquiries everyday, but the man who sends the contact information from my website in 1 email 📧 is getting a response.  

I don’t think you realize how much time is wasted going back and forth with people who don’t even respectfully read your entire website prior to reaching out continuously. I don’t require a form, but the booking details is necessary to consider anyone.

You Missed the Point

He's pointing this out because he prefers his information is encrypted. With forms, he doesn't feel he knows if this is happening or not, and even if it is how secure it is. And when it comes to email, he doesn't trust Gmail either. Gmail does encrpt, but it's not the strongest. Proton Mail is considered one of the most secure emails when it comes to encrpting. It's why many providers use it over gmail.

No hehits, Gmail does not have end to end encryption.

Meaning, once an email hits the Gmail server, the content can be read by anyone with access to the server. Ie, Gmail integrated AI, any administrator with priveleges, FBI if they'd like to see the content of the email and so forth.

 
While end to end encryption ensures only the party with the private key can read those emails. Ie, the end user. Proton mail doesn't have access to those private keys.  

 
And yes, this type of privacy can attract some very bad actors, and thats why all governments always lobby against fully private messengers and systems, often under guise of fighting trrosim and national security.

 

 
Now whether seeking such level of privacy is overkill for a john/escort interaction is another question, but it's not like Op was interested in discussing that.

Come on Qwerty, you can do better. Where in my post did I say end to end? Now, you added more details, which could be helpful for someone trying to understand, but you could have done that without suggesting I said end to end and that I was wrong. I simply said it does encrypt and is not the strongest. Nothing in this statement is wrong. But, if you want to get to the nerdy details, it's encryption is transport-layer security which makes it harder to read in transit. And yes, this is not end to end and that is what makes it weaker.

Thanks for the thoughtful responses.

So my day job is cyber and while I’m no longer an engineer I work with amazing folks. Much like health hygiene I believe in digital hygiene. I always use condoms while hobbying but understand and appreciate folks who raw dog, it’s just not for me. And yes while my personal info is tucked away in many corners of the dark web, I probably do more to mitigate risk than most.

Yes, Proton is encrypted and so are others like Hushmail. But one of the things I like about Proton is that it’s HQ’d in Switzerland so your emails are less likely to be easily subpoenaed. Hushmail is great too but they’re HQ’d in Canada with more subpoena cooperation. It’s well known that LE can easily obtain your info from gmail and other US providers.

Yes, I understand that gals spend tons of time replying to shitty and incomplete requests from guys - and forms make this easier. But again I don’t like forms and the email I send will have everything you need in the form. But not gonna send that to gmail.

Proton offers both free and paid versions and both work well. Kinda head-scratcher that in this industry it’s not more widely used.

Protonmail is SO difficult to use

I had Protonmail (still technically do) but it was not possible to search - a hard no-go for me.  
So I switched back to Gmail and it's a million times easier to use.  

You may want to politely ask her if she also has a Protonmail account that you could email her at and explain why that's what you prefer to use. If someone asked me that, I would take the hint and set one up. It wouldn't hurt to have it, or ask her nicely :-)

You mean the search messages function (at the top just above the Inbox that lets you enter dates, names, email addresses, subject line and if you want to enable it the actual message text is so confusing as to be unusable?

There is no gradation of "strongest" here.  

Op clearly knows what he's talking about and someone chooses proton over Gmail not because strongest or weakest but precisely because of end to end encryption. No one really cares about transport layer being encrypted. It's a standard feature pretty much on any email server or relay. No email service worth a damn would send anything in plaintext.

It doesn't make anything weaker. It simply gives the endpoint ie Google, ability to read anything and everything you sent. This is the most important part here.  

 
If you for example want to send some very illegal materials over email (and I'm not saying you should), it's not about stronger or weaker. Gmail will read the contents and likely flag you and then you will hear fbi open up. Whereas for end to end encryption you would be in the clear.

 
You know how admins on many sites can read all the private communication between members? Yeah it's like that with non full end to end encryption.

Always good to see a fellow tech guy on here.

I do believe Proton had a case where they were subpoenad by French (if my memory serves me well) government and they couldn't get out of dodge there. It had to do with a supposed trrorist group (in reality some oposition group iirc) . So they had to turn over some data of a particular mailbox or whatever to the government.

It isn't to me. People always choose path of least resistance. If people in the biz dont have a precedent of someone getting busted off their Gmail email, then they probably wouldn't use anything else.

The again there are Johns on here who use their real phone numbers that cna be literally googled and their whole identity revealed, making them an easy mark for bad actors. I don't even know lol.

It's possibly a filter

I hear you, and I understand the concern around data security. That said, web forms aren’t inherently insecure... it depends entirely on how the site is built, what protections are in place, and how the data is handled on the backend.  

 
Still, if someone has a legitimate concern about form security, I would try reaching out via email and asking: “Would you be open to screening another way?”

 
For example, I’m offer screening through Signal, which is fully end-to-end encrypted and far more secure than Gmail, Proton, or even P411 messaging. It’s free, takes 30 seconds to download, and is a go-to for professionals who value privacy.

 
Bigger picture?  If the tech feels like too much effort, it’s usually a sign that the alignment isn’t there and that’s perfectly okay. Most providers would rather invest in connections that move with ease, mutual trust, and clear communication. And truthfully? Many of are no longer contorting to fit into someone else’s idea of what’s “worth paying for" which means introducing friction in the booking process.

No Idgaf the encryption caca is bs.

Either you pick a profession provider, or you don’t. I do not need an encrypted email. 📧 When proton mail came out I had one long ago. I am not a high traffic provider, nor do I want to be. I don’t see everyone who inquires. I am selective on whom I share my energy with. I think some of you fellas refuse to believe providers have the freedom to pick & choose.  

I did not miss the point because it’s more complaining again. If you don’t do forms, and only use protonmail it appears the problem is not providers. If the provider doesn’t have a website, or professional photos it’s an issue. Now it’s the website forms & email. Why don’t you gentlemen tell us how to run our business….

😝 How should I shave my vagina this morning? 😆 Apparently, we as providers should go back to old-school bookings by taking endless calls 📞 spend hours talking on the phone for free. 👌🏽  

I honestly think 💭 this hobby is a luxury. If you want fast & easy you can find a hoe stroll on any major roads in any city. Street walkers & car dates are always hot & ready.  Learn to adapt. Grow. Evolve. Respectfully read the providers website if you wish to connect prior to reaching out it’s that simple. No respectful provider is ever going to share your personal information.

Paige always posts much more eloquently than I do, but she is 100% correct. If any of the provider's requirements to book an appointment (screening, condom use, rates, etc.) you as a client do not agree with or are not comfortable with MOVE ON and find another provider. There are way more clients than providers. If some of the provider's requirements or rates are too much for you there are 10 guys behind you that are fine with it. Supply and demand.

I use signal for virtual fun!

I use WhatsApp for my boyfriend. Every person is so very different. There are lots of apps. I’m use whatever my friends prefer, and no one has asked for protonmail it’s not necessary. When protonmail came out I jumped on the bandwagon it’s not a key factor.

Protonmail historically had limitations on searching emails due to the encryption. NOW, you can search but I am not sure how deeply. But when I used it before, you could not search at all. That is why I switched back to Gmail.
