A reason NOT to leave reviews

So I saw a Provider, had a good time, and asked her if she wanted me to leave a review and she was eager for me to do so.  So I left a very honest review that was quite complimentary, stated I wanted to repeat, and even omitted a few minor down-sides to the event.   The review was posted in due course and then I got a Text from the lady questioning my numeric ratings.

So now what?  Well, seeing her again is not OUT of the question as I am not going to open myself to any drama when we would have met again.

Seems like sometimes you just can't win.

"is OUT of the question"
The review was not very Honest if you left out a few minor downsides.  especially If they were downsides, enough so to affect your scoring...... you should mention them to her......
You might be surprised..... she could rock your world to make up for it the next time. Not every date is perfect.
Then again, she might still be "pissed" and will pull a "Lorena Bobbit" on you.

I stopped writing reviews or at least not so good ones for the very same reason
a while ago. Just started up again.

It appears 7's and below are the kiss of death for some. To your point, I would not revisit a lady
that I gave lower #s to and like you, do not need the drama in the hobby.

So if I have an "EH" experience, I just move on and do not write.

It seems being a little critical could actually help the provider but I just
do not need the drama of having to explain myself.

When a client asks a provider if she would like for him to review her, it usually means that it will be a "good" score.

You said you wrote an honest review. How can you write an honest review if you left out the "minor down-sides?"

By omitting the few "minor down-sides" to your appointment, she may be confused as to why you gave her the score that you did.

If you can justify in your review why you gave her a certain score, then she would probably understand. In your case, you left out your reasoning, which is why she questioned your rating.

Not sure why people are so afraid of writing reviews. There's always room for improvement and nobody is perfect. Providers will get over the scores.

(1) You based the numeric scores based on what you thought is fair and it is not up for debate. Most people respect a person who is self confident and able to shoot straight.

(2) If you want to avoid all of the hassle altogether:

    (a) Do not disclose your handle

    (b) If you are VIP, use an alias

By all means dude, show some balls and showing balls doesn’t mean you have to be an ass about it either. You could simply say something like “this is my score for now and we get together next time, we will see how it goes and if the experience is better, I shall write another review with a higher score”. How about that

in the first place. I never bring up the subject of reviews to a provider, and if asked I will beat around the bush or play stupid.

As far as this provider is concerned, I wouldn't follow through with a second appointment knowing that you may subject you to even more drama. OTOH, she could give you a better session the second time if she knows that you can replace the review with a new one.

You have 90 days to submit a review, and you can do so under alias. If you can post the review without revealing too many actual details, she may not put two and two together, thus saving you from some unwanted drama.

And has done so since the beginning.

When considering the natural and individual ego-centricities, the subsequent fiscal reward and gains, innocent infatuation, and then all possible manifestations of venal corruption. The "one to ten" value added concept has not worked out well for the concept of "honesty"

Time to revamp the 1-10 scoring system and replace it with much simpler system...

Something like this..

A.  Rip off
B.  Not recommended
C.  Recommended with Reservations (akin to YMMV)
D.  Highly Recommended.

The actual wording can be tweaked...But you get the general idea.

No easy way out.

If this hobby is serious enough for you to get into, then read the reviews and then decide.

Those were just my 4 different criteria I would use to get the general idea of the review... Of course the details would be the most important part..

I get drama for free at home, no way in Hell I'm going to pay for more with a provider.  This is one of those times IMHO that one simply says "NEXT' and moves on.

In the future, I will only write a review if I can honestly rate her 9/10 or at the other extreme.  Given that I do read a lady's reviews closely before seeing her, I can't imagine ever writing a really bad one.

Anything that pre-empts a numerical "value added" system stymies both human as well as computerized number crunchers. By simply assigning "arbitrary” numbers or letters to the scores definition the impetus as well as the ability to competitively "grade" would be largely nullified.

As long as ‘A’ or ‘10’ equal best, and ‘1’ or ‘E’ equal worst you’re going to have “calculable” problems

"is not OUT of the question"
I think you meant to omit the word "not".
As for drama, only you know the severity of her attitude.
FWIW, I review her and the experience. It takes two to tango as they say...... But sometimes you cannot win regardless

I'll admit that my breaking point on numerical reviews is about a "7".  If the average (median? mode? Wow, I'm such a geek...) review tends to come in with lower numbers than that, I'm likely to give that provider a pass without too much additional scrutiny.

As for anything at a 7 or above:  This is where I start to look seriously at the provider's profile--and I actually look at them pretty carefully, starting with stuff like age, build, ethnicity, CBJ vs not, etc.  And then I do read the reviews.  I try to distinguish between the bs ("when I went between her thighs for DATY, she came like forty times!"), and the important stuff:  Did she put the client at ease, was she punctual, not appear to be strung out on coke/heroin/whatever, and of course the more realistic aspects of the juicy details.

I think removing numerical scores altogether is a bit too much.  I'd rather not have a bunch of provider wanna-be's (the sort who get ratings like a "2"--which translates to what again?  Something like "I was really scared"?) suddenly be just as likely to be the target of a search as the typical good-to-excellent 7-10 type provider.

On a more general note:  I know I'm not "giving back" to the TER community the way I should be, since I've been a member for several years, and have never posted a review.  But experiences such as that of OP are one reason (among many others) why I've refrained from posting reviews.  Even my absolute best hobby experiences have always included something that could have been better/different/more enjoyable.  I'd hate for a provider to see my review and then feel as if she's let me down or something.  I always send them followup emails a day or two after our date, with some constructive feedback, things that I liked/didn't like/might want to try next time, etc.

Putting that stuff out there on a review has always struck me as a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation.  If you post a totally honest review, you've helped out other hobbyists, but at the potential risk of endangering your relationship with the provider.  If you gloss over the parts of your date which did not go quite as you might have liked, you run the risk of being a less-than-reliable reviewer.

I guess I treat this whole topic as one of those "If you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything at all."  Which is not to say that there aren't many nice things I could say about the providers I've seen, but I'm always afraid of saying something that will be perceived negatively and blown out of proportion--so I just keep my mouth shut, and try to help out in other ways on TER, like participating on the boards..

Numeric ratings are based on this formula, and these are TER's rules, not mine:

"In order to keep our performance ratings consistent, we set up the following system: An escort provider is only eligible to earn up to a 7, unless she is willing to perform one or some of the following during a session: Kisses With Tongue, Bare-Back Blow Job, Really Bi, and Anal Sex, or More than One Guy. For each of these services that are offered, her potential max score is raised by one point, with 10 as an absolute maximum."

That means, if the session was AWESOME, you start out with a 7.  If she kisses with tongue, you can bump it up to an 8.  If you got a BBJ, you can bump it up to a 9.  If you got anal sex, or she brought in a 2nd provider, you can bump it up to a 10.  Many hobbyists are leaving ratings of 9s to women who didn't do any of these things, and the fact that hobbyists do this pisses off people like me who rely on the reviews being honest.  If the provider is questioning your numeric score, and she feels that she deserves a 10, tell her to stop whining, and to provide DFK, BBJ, Anal, and a second provider, and the session had better be awesome to top it off, then you will write another review and give her a 10.  These are TER's guidelines that you are supposed to be following when you score these providers anyway.

Don't inflate your ratings, keep the reviews honest, and if bad reviews are warranted, leave bad reviews.  This helps out everybody, including the provider who should be reading her own reviews to see what she is doing right and what she is doing wrong, and she should really be using this info to improve herself instead of complaining that she deserved more.

I have different names for my correspondence with ladies and for my reviews and for my board posts.

In general, I am a very private person and in the hobby I really want to keep a low (and unclear) profile. Having multiple handles eliminates situations just like you describe. I can be much more honest with my reviews.

Perhaps I've mis-understood what you wrote, or this is all just semantics, but here's what TER actually says about the numerical scores"
For each of these services that are offered, her potential max score is raised by one point, with 10 as an absolute maximum.

This does not mean she earns extra points for offering the service(s); just that she is now eligible for a higher score. Her maximum eligible score is based on what is offered, not what is performed during your session with her. You may or may not be interested in the “extra” services she offers, but the fact she offers them makes her eligible for the higher score."

What that says to me is, yes, she does have to offer you the service.  If she does, she can get the points for it even if you decline that service.  But if you are not offered the service, even though she may have offered it to others, she is not eligible for the points from you.
For example, her menu and reviews say she offers greek.  She looks at your huge schlong and says, "No way is that going in my butt!"  So just because she got points for greek because she did it for others does NOT mean she's entitled to that score from you.
I hope that's clear

Incorrect.  She is eligible for those scores if she offers those services, even if they were not provided.  But that means she has to offer them to the person writing the review.  She can't offer these services to the wall.  I mean what would you be doing, giving a perfect 10 score based on what you heard about someone else's experience with this provider?  If that other person had a no holes barred 3 way PSE bonanza with this provider, then let that person give her a 10.

It just has to be offered ie. is on her profile as something she will do. It doesn't have to happen in the session being reviewed. This has been my understanding from TER in communications I've had with them on the guidelines. This is pretty clear by the fact that "truly bi" will qualify her for the extra point even if there was no other provider in the session.

In all fairness, I never said I was not crazy.  Regardless, even if you are right and I am wrong, I am still not inflating my own scores to coincide with what the provider may or may not offer to other people.  I will continue to provide honest reviews and scores that corresponded with my own experience anyway.  I don't want to just read about those extras, they really have to be offered to me.  For me to give a 10, it really has to be a 3 way with DFK, BBJ, and anal anyway.  That is where I set the bar for a 10.  Because a 10 is supposed to be where you are at when you can't possibly score any higher.
