Need some help evaluating whether any is these sites are even a little bit legit.

Doublelist, AFF, bedpage, etc…

Literally all of them result in getting spam or a bot.

I’m starting to think that they actually get girls to sign up, but then hijack the post. I dunno…

Get what looks like a human response  
Reply back
Get request for deposit or to join a sketchy site
Refuse
Start getting death threats from some guy named Tony

Lather rinse repeat

And at no point in your process did you mention looking up the girl in question here to verify her so I am a bit confused as to your M.O.

Also you never get to hear their actual voice. And they claim to be available 24/7. Can we thank the whole FOSTA law for this one? When the original Backpage was going the ladies were at least real and we can actually talk to them.

If you are looking for sugar babes, stick with Seeking or other similar.

To clarify, I’m really new at looking at these sites, driven by the ever-building scam that once was the BA  girl scene.

Not one of my encounters has led to a hook up. I’m seeing the same lame bot and deposit stuff everyone’s ranting about almost exclusively.  

I do of course cross check against TER.  

I got an email stream today that was two posts from me and responses from her to each one. Timely, too! Right? But between the initial post and the replies, three separate email addys. All names too not generated, unless there’s an Apache instance that takes randomly generated fake whore alphanumeric outputs and assigns them names of chicks…that’d indicate a truly sophisticated geek level.

BTW subjects for my exploration were culled from a google search for the top ten hook up sites. I did not scale the paywall of any of them. I can not adequately state the degree of time-suck and pure fail that passes for best.

This is accurate. Government intervention (shockingly!) almost always makes every situation they claim they will help much worse. BP was shut down because of "sex trafficking", yet BP was one of the few sites that worked with LE on anything they thought was underage or a trafficking situation. Also because of SESTA/FOSTA most sites no longer have their headquarters in the US, so the US no longer has jurisdiction like they did before. There has also been a total of *zero* studies to confirm the effectiveness of SESTA/FOSTA, which we all know will be zero anyway.  
If you guys want increased competition, less scams, a better quality of service, and a safer experience for providers and clients please also add your voice where ever you can to the full decriminalization of all adult consensual sex work.

can have more than one interpretation, so I'm not saying you were wrong.  I often miss multiple meanings as well.
