we have boards here on TER for a reason.  

Obviously too many jokes were being posted on the General or Regional boards so they created a Humor board so people looking for jokes can see jokes and those that don't want to see jokes, don't have to see them.

Many of us would not want to see Transsexual posts on the GD board, so they made a separate board, just for those posters.

The General Board is for General Topics not covered on the other boards.  Items that transcend local boards and are not specific to one of the other boards...General stuff...not joke clutter.
