When you gentleman are looking for a lady to see, do you search based on a certain price, let's say for example $300 per hour.  How many of you shop with the attitude that you wouldn't want to see anyone whose rates were less than $300 because you believe that is your quality comfort level?  

Just curious how many have this mentality versus bargain shoppers.  
There are some items that I bargain shop for, but some items that I feel I need to pay a certain price or the quality that I want won't be there.  Hope this makes sense.

I spend a great deal of time doing research, after a certain look or review sparks a interest. Dollars usually play no part in final decision, just may take a little longer to put everything together. In most cases I prefer longer dates, which always means longer preparation. As far a quality goes based on dollars, that always doesn't mean the higher the spend the better time you will have.. Why research, reviews, chemistry, communication so vital.

2) The service offering (won't touch FBSM, if I want to get teased I use internet porn)
3) The reviews
4) Price

I am not a highly experienced hobbiest (11 dates total).  I have paid $260 at the low end (in Mexico) and $1200 at the high end (in Las Vegas).  I would put both of those experiences in the same category in terms of pure sexual pleasure (excellent), and I would go back to the Senorita in a heartbeat, not because of price, but because I enjoyed her non-sexual company more.

but I do not set any artificial minimum I would pay either.  I see a number of gals whose rates are below the limit you mention.

I select gals often as a result of finding out about them as a result of their postings here on TER, along with some research, especially their reviews.

Other gals I've met were as a result of recomendations of hobby friends of mine, both male and female.

So far, I've been very satisfied with the people I've met.

... the chances of finding the services I am looking for at less than $300 have been exactly zero in my experience. Not saying it doesn't exist just that has been my experience. And I want to stress that this has nothing to do with quality. It has to do with services provided. Example? There are many providers for $200. One pop. Again, at least the ones I have contacted. And that is just one example. There are many others. I have set a maximum that I will pay, search for what I want in that range, do my research and hope for the best. And after all these years, with all that research it is still a crap shoot. But what a fun crap shoot!

When shopping the last thing I actually check out is the rate.  It begins with the pic & physical description....from there I move to the reviews....rarely see anyone with less than 8s and stellar remarks in their reviews....then I check the rate.  If it is ridiculously high I move on.  And to be honest if it is under the market norm I use to eliminate the lady from my consideration. I assumed they were high volume or over rated.  However last year I broke down and saw a lady who often ran specials as low as 220....which is very much below the norm in DC.  Glad I did because now I am bat shit crazy about her and indeed she is anything but high volume.

SOOooooooo , ya just never know. I guess I'm saying less than 300 use to be a red flag for me....now it is a yellow warning flag , but still might be someone to consider if her reviews are great.

I do have a few absolutes. I will not see anyone who books 15 minute sessions.  Sorry...that is just a little too desperate for me.

I think those who "shop" based on the premise that "you get what you pay for" are those who have given up finding great "bargains" and "diamonds in the rough". The belief that you won't find quality below a certain price point is a false one that is promoted by retailers and sellers of goods and services.

Some are perfectly comfortable overpaying for products that are not worth the asking price. Others are more astute shoppers who know how to identify mispriced "goods" and take advantage of price discrepancies in their favor.

When I consider someone it is based on service/reviews  and then location followed by looks and then price.

I have spent some big bucks to see the high end and porn star and I have also seen providers on the other end of the price range as well.  They were nice times but nothing memorable.  
The best sessions of my life were from providers in the 300-400 range.  
One high end lady insulted me by saying I was too blue collar to be a regular of hers but the following year she lowered her rates in half because her business dried up.    

rates and services varies from provider to provider. There is no particular donation that guarantees the quality and service you want.  I still say us guys need to do our homework!!!

to be within my price range which is generally the 250-350 range. From time to time I will venture a little higher in price point depending on the location. Certain parts of the country are just more expensive for lots of things, not just companionship.

I have stopped seeing some ladies who have significantly raised their rates within the past year even though the economy is still not on a total upswing yet.

There are certain deal breakers as well; DFK and BBBJ two areas that I will not compromise.

I find Las Vegas pretty fairly priced. I find NYC and LA severely overpriced for their given product offerings.

...don't shop. I started the hobby using an agency. Then I started on TER. I still use that agency. When one of those ladies moves on if possible I will continue to see her and check out the new provider that the agency brought in. By reading and posting on the TER boards (The agency has a board and PM system too which makes it possible for me to know about the providers and see if I'm interested.) I have been exposed to some providers that got my attention. I then check out their reviews and websites. If I like what I see in the reviews and the website I look at the donation. If it's within my acceptable range I will likely attempt to make an appointment. I don't peruse the various ad sites just looking to see what catches my attention and then investigate.

Over the years, I have seen a number of high priced providers along with lower priced providers. I have come to one conclusion:

It's not all about the rate, it's the QUALITY of the provider who is providing the service.

I've had higher priced providers who provided lousy service and some have provided great service. Same goes for the lower priced providers.

So, you're wondering how do I "shop" around? One of the best methods is to communicate with the provider PRIOR in meeting them in person. I do it by emails. I can tell a lot by a person through emails. I am not saying this is a fail-safe method, but this is one of the methods that I use. I have found out over the years that the better the provider communicates, the more likely I will get better service.

That's just my way and my 3 cents on this topic.

Looks are important, but I place a high value on personality, then its GFE.I will not contact a provider by e-mail or web page.  I read reviews , talk to reviewers before I contact the provider.
But I also like to see newbie's and write her 1st review and in a lot of instances provide insight that will prevent her from choosing to go the pimp route.
This has spawned a great many members that contact me both for suggestions or girls that are UTR "friends" and in every instance price is discussed.
Value seems to be very important to me and them.I don't need a model to have a great session, many of the girls are more 7,8's but have genuine joy of sex and sweetness that makes the "performance" in the 9/10 range.
I have"friends " that are in most major cities and while I never paid their high end prices, I still see them on occasion.

Pretty simple, seems to work for me. Rarely am I disappointed. As far as price, I have an  upper limit, but where I travel, prices are pretty fair except Vegas and LA.

As you know, in the Atlanta market there are some great providers at  250 an hour. I prefer 30 minute appointments, and several have agreed to see me for 200 for the 1/2 hour.

I have, on rare occassion, spent 400 .... and felt like a complete idiot afterwards.

picking the right provider is like buying a new coat..there might be 10 on the rack..i never look at the price..i will always pick the one that looks the best and will look good on me..if it is a good fit i will take it home and know i will be happy..if i buy some discounted coat just to have one..i will never be happy and i know it wont fit right..being comfortable with your choice without worrying about the price tag is the only way to go..hope this makes sense..

The first two are from her ads/website if she shows her face, then its a slam dunk, if not, then I've got me some research to do.

1. Looks - Face  - pretty eyes and a great smile beat a nice rack and a 105lb frame
2. Looks - Body - cup size is irrelevant, but if she weighs more than me, I might consider passing unless she is very cute

In the hobby a 10/7 bitch beats a sweetheart that's a 7/10, but only for limited engagements.  A 10/10 sweetheart that is a predator in bed will empty my wallet. AND a 10/10 sweetheart predator at $300 beats a 10/10 sweetheart predator at $1200, but not forever, because I'll eventually want variety.

I peruse the reviews to see what's new out there. Then if she has good reviews and looks I put her on my favorites list. Then depending on budget I will go to my list to see who is available. If she is running a special on another site then that might be the final call. Bottom line is the little head makes the final decision.

Important for me is a multi-hour discount, I like three or four hours when I'm in Vegas, two when I'm local.  If a girl's rate is $300 for an hour and $1,200 for four, that's a deal killer, i'd rather get a girl with a $500 per hour with a $1,500 four hour.

Price does not necessarily indicate the quality of service, or even the provider's appearance.  A few years ago I saw a provider who gave me the best experience I ever had for a mere $200... and that still stands to this day.

A provider may not charge "more" due to a variety of reasons.

I always look ahead for more girls to see, and have at least 5 on my "must see" list.  

Then I keep an eye on the local ad boards to see who is visiting when.  Suburban location is my preference, but I will drive/park downtown if need be.  Price is not a big factor, assuming (traditional) beauty is in line with price.  I have been lucky in being able to see touring girls located less than 15 min from my workplace.  Shower at work/easy drive/just tell the wife I worked late.

I see escorts for service.  If I want scenery I go to a strip club.  And I do both.

I filter search by services offered, then I look at looks.  I read all the reviews and if I am still intersted I look at price.

I know the base rate for my area.  Much below that, I will suspect lesser services or upsell.  But I really don't shop price first.  I do a complete research and mark those I am interested in seeing as a TER Favorite.   If I want to try a new gal, rather than a repeat, I go to that pre-researched list.  

My complete research includes, links to her advertizing which should include pictures from a variety of dress & undress, angles & poses so that taken in total I know what she looks like.  I look at her reviews & the form about the pictures, her services, her attitude.  I use the notaition box in TER Favorites to note, Yes, NO, Maybe (pending more reviews), a the briefest notes why...

Price in my area for this ranges from $160 to 300 and the 160 was actually such a good time that I saw her 3 times.  Price plays a little bit of it for me since if I really like someone who is 200 why try someone at 300 but I do like variety and there is alot out there so its hard to pick sometimes )))

There have been some girls that are "touring" for 350 or more which I probably would pass on no matter how hot or good she is because I can get someone local for less.

I look at ads all over the place.  I have to be attracted to a lady before I will consider making a date, so looks are important to me.  If I find one that interests me, I look at price.  Too high, and I move on.  If price is acceptable, I check menu.  If there is no bbbj or dfk on the menu, again, I move on.  Those are my two deal-breakers.  If they are there, then I start the research, reading reviews, etc, before making an approach to her.  I do have a rule about reviews, if she doesn't have some on some site, I do not go any further in my research.  She has to have reviews somewhere or I'm not seeing her.  Price-wise, there are plenty of quality providers in my area at 300/hr. and under.  I have paid more, but on rare occasions.  Generally, I don't have to go over 300 for a good time.
