I have personally met two men who have fallen for the scams online by paying money upfront.
Both men are in therapy for their sex addiction.
One of the men claims to have lost his wife because of his sex addiction. The other was also scammed out of his 4O1 K by a stripper / con artist.
That same man allowed another woman to scam him by having him cash a fake check for her.
His bank closed his account because this was not the first time it had happened.
These are both educated professionals, one in real estate, the other an engineer with a master degree.
I also know a man in sales who allowed an escort to “borrow” over a thousand dollars, who was shocked she had no intention of paying him back.
His wife of only a few months who was a doctor, found out he was seeing escorts and divorced him.
He too was in therapy for his sex addiction.
I know a business owner who let a massage provider “borrow” approximately 15OO$ to take her kids on vacation, but she ended up spending it on drugs.
He too was SHOCKED he was tricked.
Women are scamming men everyday, guys.
Yes, it does happen.
I’d like to feel sorry for these guys, and a part of me does because these are not awful men.
However, a few of them are married with children, deceiving their wives/families, a violation of trust.
They trust in sex workers, they too get deceived.

Actually, the last lines (beside "joke") are very true. Maybe if more men read swatter/twitter they would realize how often they are played and looked on with scorn. Granted some providers are genuinely nice, but their just a few bad clients away from heading down the pure business road and the client is just a client, like washing hands.

I hear about, it even in sweet little Portland, LOL. Guys need to have a transactional relationship with their provider. They should pay only for what they receive, at the time they receive it. The most common thing I hear is not so much losing their retirement, but getting sucked into "I need money now, and I'll credit you', or just leading them to believe that there is some sort of relationship beyond money so they can squeeze more out of them.
It never ends well. Do providers and clients sometimes end up in relationships...even married? Yes. But you must protect yourself if a provider is playing to your sympathy to get more than what she's giving. Just my two cents.
How to not get scammed: If she wants money up-front, or doesn't take cash, it's a scam.
Sure, there are some legitimate providers out there who require deposits, but why chance it? There are tons more who don't require it who are equally hot.
I'll make a concession for the girls who are charging >1k/hr, provided they have stellar reviews, that is does indeed make more sense to arrange payment ahead of time, because carrying that kind of cash around is cumbersome and a security risk.

I won't get into all the other things you said because I don't know your business and I can't speak to the other things you said. But guys get favorites. The bit about guys who see escorts usually only see them once just isn't the case. Yes, some do, it's their thing but at least as many don't. You then have to consider all those that are somewhere along the spectrum in between. All you have to do is read the boards where providers and clients talk about regulars to debunk that one statement.
