won't cancel their appointments at the last minute in the first few days of the War on Iraq.  Many people would be glued to the TV (I will be one).  They might be needed to comfort their loved ones.  That left little time for hobbying.

I just hope that hobbyists would reexamine their personal situations and be courteous enough to notify the ladies, especially the touring ones, way ahead of time if they wouldn't be able to keep their appointments.

Once appointments are made, I would hope that hobbyists would try hard to keep them even in these stressful times.  After all, the coming event is not unexpected by now.

Happy hobbying.

What if the terriorists target the providers and hobbyists of America?  Think of the ramifications? It could ruin this business. No one would be out screwing anybody elese, and American commerce as we know it would cease to exists???

War is a test of manhood. It is the ultimate testostrone high!!
Plus given the advances in modern warfare, and all the new bombs and missiles that have been developed... you have to admit that it is kind of exciting to get a chance to see how these puppies will work in action?

I am particularly excited about the new MOAB.  Of course if we see all the civilians killed either by us or Hussein, that will surely dampen everybody's appetite, but hopefully our sponsors won't show us that aspect of things... Would not want to disturb the fantasy.

well, just take a trip outside this country to a few non Islamic or non French countries, talk to the locals and just see if this country is hated. I have, and these people would give ANYTHING to be in the US. Just check with some of the recent imigrant providers if you think otherwise.  As for the few who you think hate us, it's not hate it's jealousy as I was told by one non native born provider.  And don't think I'm some warmonger, I protested the Vietnam War for years but these are very different times.

Lighen up FOO!! It was a sarcastic post meant to illicit a response.  You fell for it..

Very few Americans would have that type of disregard for human life.. Americans are reluctant warriors as our history has shown.
During times of stress and and adversity, humor is needed as a coping mechanism..

Destroying it would be a dire blow on freedom and morale in this country.

It's no wonder considering all the misinformation out there.

This one is humourous

This one had me ROFLMAO

And I stumbled onto many French sites that are into the whole conspiracy theory also.

[Sarcasm] tags when you're being sarcastic.  Difficult to tell without hearing your voice or seeing your face.

That, and I've heard similar from 'wingers recently, who were speaking honestly.

Unfortunately, there's also plenty of non-misinformation to make us hated.  We started this war, and we've been lying about our evidence.  When we're caught, we just do a different lie.

That's why there's such a difference in support for the war between the US and everyone else.  We're only hearing one side, and not hearing when our evidence is disproven, or that we're spying on the Security Council member's homes, or that Bush promised to seek a 2nd resolution even if it was going to be voted down.  Details like that are left out while the media works on "CONFLICT: SADDAM" graphics.

In all the excitement with the meager "coalition" forces (i.e., U.S., Brits, Aussies, and hmm! where are those Spaniards when the fighting starts) attacking Iraq, one does wonder why it was impossible for George W. to assemble a true coalition under U.N. auspices.

In the earlier UN-sponsored attack on the Taliban in Afghanistan, George W. and Co. had no problem assembling a real coalition. The evidence was clear cut: the Taliban for years had sponsored Al Qaida and Osama Bin Ladin, Bin Ladin was claiming credit for the 9/11 attacks, and had numerous Al Qaida-terrorist training camps in Afghanistan. The U.S. presented the evidence, and won the support of the entire world, including the French, Germans, Russians and Muslim countries. If there was ever a justified war, this fit the bill.

This time out, though, the U.S. had no evidence of any connection between 9/11 and Iraq, and the rest of the world laughed at our claim of Islamic fundamentalists in league with their arch enemy, the secular Baathist party in Iraq. Then, the U.S. changed the bar again, claiming nuclear weapons, but the UN Nuclear Inspection team found no evidence of any such program. Then it was our demand for regime change, clearly outside the scope of the UN resolutions.

Finally, our "coalition" attacks when Saddam Hussein refuses to step down, in the first preemptive, unprovoked attack in our nation's history. What kind of precedent does that set for the rest of the world? Won't this simply ratchet up the nuclear programs in Iran and North Korea? And by our example, is it OK now for Pakistan to attack India (or vice versa), simply because they're afraid of the other's weapons of mass destruction? Will any of us here feel more safe when we've dispatched Saddam Hussein? No wonder the rest of the world fears us.

Lord Wellington said it best about his generals in 1812, and I believe it applies equally to George W.'s doctrine of preemptive attacks: "I don't know what effect these men will have on the enemy, but by God, they frighten me." Shock and awe, indeed.

I find it stunning that even though the last two posts were posted hours after Saddam fired SCUD MISSLES "that he doesn't have" at Kuwait you too morons still say we have no proof.

FYI, the UN Inspectors didn't find the SCUDS either.  Give it up, your opposition is groundless and based on nothing more than your genetic hatred for Bush.

One other thing, the support for the war is NOT declining, by the end of the week even France will be taking credit for the disposal of Saddam.  In a few days you will see the people of Iraq dancing in the streets, waving American flags thanking George Bush and America for liberating them!

I know it will do nothing more than fuel your hatred for him, but that is your problem.  Deal with it!

The smell of victory makes me horney, I think I'll call my ATF and celebrate!

who couldn't wait to draft me to go to Vietnam.  I've got a good memory for those who didn't have a problem drafting a couple hundred thousand 19 year olds in the early 70's to send to their deaths, but have a new found concern for an maniacle dictator and his henchmen.
