A question for clients:

When a provider screens you and you're setting up the appointment and she says, "I can't wait to meet you", do you think it's a nice thing to say?  Or do you think she's being disengenuine since she doesn't know anything about you, what you look like, or if you're an axe murderer?

I tell every client, "I can't wait to meet you!" but I wonder what clients think about this.

Just a representation of "thanks for contacting me and I will see you soon." No need to over think this.

You stated that you think she can't wait to see you. But, why do you think that may be? In general, girls will typically say that as a gesture to the client. The effect of that gesture is to boost the clients ego and expectations of her. However, the other effect is that it's not genuine. As one reply stated, the provider doesn't know the client personally, so, why is she making that statement.

Here is my opinion, most girls I've been with will typically say something similar like what you stated. Either stated orally, or by manuscript (i.e. email or text). I see nothing wrong with it, because it shows a warm salutation. Some girls don't even give warm salutations, instead, they just say, "ok, see you at 8:00", and nothing else. I would prefer some form of a personal connection, that is, some form of statement that will show me that your into me as much as I'm into you. I think it's appropriate to make those kinds of statements to the clients.

Trust me, you don't want to know the explanation.

That is, unless you want to knock a few points off your IQ.

I like getting emails or text messages with that statement. It gives me a sense of urgency to see her.

However... if you keep on repeating yourself every 10 minutes or so for an hour or so before the appointment... then... the creepyness factor starts to set in. Now, I am thinking... should I go or not? I ended up cancelling that appointment because of this. This has only happened to me ONCE, but that was enough for me.

In short... do it once or twice, but don't overdo it.
