If an agency girl has to cancel last minute, the agency will usually have one or more other girls available through them that can take the time I have already reserved, so I get to stay on MY OWN schedule and don't have to juggle things to accommodate the provider. Providers are fungible as far as I'm concerned until they get to the point of being a regular, where the relationship evolves a little into a personal "friendship."

Do you prefer an Agency or an Independent? Seems like Agencies require a bit more screening info and in my opinion a little looser with the info they glean, i.e. sharing it with all providers under their wing, sharing with other agencies likes n dislikes etc..
Independents still screen a ton but seem to keep it to themselves, if and when the client is as seems, they get to enjoy the chemistry of a repeat client which is good in the long run.
Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated.

Cost is a bit less with an Indie provider than an Agency. When you go see a provider from an Agency you pay more because the Agency gets a cut from the price. With an Indie she gets the entire price. The Indies I see are great. Two I consider as friends. I spend a lot of OTC time with these two.
There are variations in everything but there are a lot of agencies that actually have much lower rates than indies in the same area.
Then again, how much of anything that ROGM says is true? 🙁

They tend to be targets more so than independents, and if an agency does get busted, I'd hate to think about whether LE is going to get a hold of my information and start hassling me.
I agree about the LE targeting agencies but I think it's a misconception that Indys DON'T or wouldn't save your personal information should you provide it to them. I'd bet many, if not most do, and I'm ok with that.
This post ISN'T about if you should you give your name or personal info out for verification, agency OR an Indy! It's about a provider having recourse if she goes on an appointment that turns sour. Many indys have shared with me that someone knows where they are or where they've been should something bad happen.
So they're phones and computers MAY have a client's personal info on it to. And while busting indys may happen less frequently, LE would have access to said personal info.

and that was with Rachel in Wilmington, NC, Initially I saw Rachel and then a few of her ladies, she was great and so were her ladies. Unfortunately Rachel passed a few years back but some of her gals went indy and I continued to see them.
Up-front disclosure: The vast majority of providers that I have seen are independent.
My Agency perspective:
Never been to an ASIANCY, but the price point can't be beat for a GFE experience with an apparently hot and eager Asian gal. things that keep me away include: 1) too many photos look too much alike. I am easily disappointed in reality when photoshop goes too far, regardless of price. 2) many comments on boards about age "deflation", if I book a 26-y.o., that's what I want, not a 36 y.o. with decent skin. 3) the "booker" wants too much screening info for my taste. 4) a fair amount of BBFS banter on certain boards. I don't want a creampie or an oral STD.
I have used Russian agencies several times. The good include 1) easy verification and booking. 2) unblurred selfies once verified. 3) decent price point, not as low as Asiancy, but 300-400 is within my comfort zone for a hot, but not well reviewed girl that I'll likely only see once. 4) I've never had a cancellation. The bad: 1) they aren't local, so availability is an issue. 2) english skills could be better.
On Indies:
Price from one indy to the next is all over the place for what appears to be a very similar product. So many different response times and screening requirements, it makes me gravitate to regulars (not necessarily a bad thing).
I'm curious as to the OP's thoughts on Agencies sharing private info. I've never heard this is a concern.
at most decent Asiancies, if a girl is advertised as 26 she will almost always be "believable" at that age, regardless of the age on her birth certificate.
If you don't want to go through heavy screening, I would advise you forget all about seeing K-Girls who have the most stringent screening in the business.
Personally I have always been a short notice booker, which makes having an agency or two to fall back on if I can't find an indy to see me "today" which can often happen. I do prefer indies, but I do try to keep an agency or two on speed-dial "just in case"
I remember when you could go to an AAMP in my area just by saying you saw "Miko" in San Mateo. Thanks to the big crackdowns of the last two years AAMPS have become too intrusive with screening for me.
The White agencies take P411 or any legit reference. Some Indies have made it so difficult in the screening dept that a lot of guys are starting to just use agencies. It's not just screening. Agencies have pussy available on short notice and after business hours.
It's important to have a good relationship with an agency. Even well reviewed indies can have reliability problems. I'm not one to have much patience when I want my balls drained.
I will agree that "most" non Asian agencies are not as tough with screening as others, but I do remember the one non Asian agency I used in Dallas a few years ago was one of the very few P 411 encounters where I was asked for ID.
I completely agree about "some" indies wanting guys to jump through endless hoops in order to see them. Well not "endless" in my case at least, the first hoop I am asked to jump through pretty much "ends" it lol

But as you mentioned, a good relationsip with an agency has it's benefits. CDL pointed out that you can discuss an 'off' encounter with the agency, and they may try to make amends. I have not experienced that on the Indie side, but it probably happens. One benefit of agencies that I have never seen on the Indie side is a guarantee of performance. Either I liked the girl or the next session with someone else was free. Hard to turn that down!

The only advantages of an agency is [1] if the provider you were scheduled to see can't make it, they usually have someone who can substitute in. [2] once you are screened then you can see any of their providers without going through the screening process again.
"Their business" is that if you get a bad session, you can't really demand to speak to her supervisor. Just sayin.
I have seen girls from both and have had a great time. I agree with others agency girls tend to be targeted by LE more. I have one agency I like to go through and their girls a great.
The only other knock on agencies and it is not on the hobbyist part, in most cases the provider only gets half of the consideration.

You're correct about advantages and disadvantages and I'll not jump down your throat like some who might consider a comment to insinuate always or never. I don't. But ...
It is possible to develop a personal touch with an agency. I've had several, including one with Boston's biggest and most successful agency until Jill retired.
It was not unusual for me to call if i hadn't booked for awhile, to inquire about new gals I might like to see in the future or even discuss what was going on in the local scene.
Business is about relationships. Plain and simple. And yes, some are purely sexual.
The calls were appreciated and I was put on hold more than once for them to answer an incoming call then return to finish our conversation. Bookers and agency owners are people too. And most have to be very charming if they're expecting a call back.
Is it a self fulfiing prophecy that a personal touch isn't developed, or perhaps it's just that the client that has no interest in developing one?

This sounds like a decent idea..
In my backyard (Baltimore) the agency girls
are just way hotter than the Indy's. While
there are a few hotties on the local scene, the sheer volume and quality of those passing thru with agencies is tough to ignore.
