I usually spend at least 2 hours at work on TER or checking out providers. It can be hard to write a post if I know I could get a phone call at any second or have to go talk to some d-bag.
I don't write reviews for every lady I see. I just think it's necessary. I've got enough reviews and whitelists, that pretty much takes care of my screening for me and don't have to give up alot of personal info.
Im younger compared to most around here and I don't wanna make TER my life. As for now im not ready to settle down and plan on partying and playing.

Before you jump allover my shit, I know there's some guys that have seen ladies that they haven't reviewed, for one reason or another.
I've had my reasons, meaning, it's in respect to them.
It's been said, for the most part, that most of the members(guy wise) rarely post and use this forum as a means to get their dick wet, reading reviews, and doing what they do as far as getting laid.
And in all actuality see the interaction here as fodder that they believe to be beneath them and their pursuits.

It's been admitted, time and time again, by guys with balls that admit they are not attractive. Or don't have the best job. Or are married to some shrew that can't or won't satisfy them anymore.
I'm curious about the lurkers. The one's that rarely, if at all, post. Or send a PM to someone they think would understand their situation.
Alias' abound. If you aren't turned onto who they are, or have some sort of intuition, you're in the dark as far as what they're truly trying to convey.
Myself, I find it insulting to play games. We're already in the situation that one or the other is in a compromising position if not both.
For instance. I'm not married, nor do I have a GF. Told I'm attractive, fun to be with, but also not so fun when I get crazy because I'm hard to handle. You wanna get crazy? I'm your guy. Wanna kick back and watch a movie, better hope you don't mind me snoring.
So, I've talked with some ladies and with some guys. I find it very educating as to why you do what you do and what you get out of it.
What I'm trying to say is, I know there are hundreds if not thousands of lurkers out there. I'm interested in your thoughts. You see the usual posters here day after day. What do you think?

I'm sure the prerequisite having a high paying job, the SO, or being a public figure are the main concerns, and of course I wouldn't want anyone to out the themselves unintentionally.

I check in on TER several times a day, viewing the NY board and most of the General boards too. I have been in the hobby 40-plus years, but mainly stay UTR. I love the life, and enjoy many, many of the fine women that come to Long Island. Just like in any organization or club, 90% of the work is done by 10% of the members. I am one of the 10% crowd in my profession and my sports club, but remain on the sidelines when it comes to posting. I appreciate ALL of what you fellows and girls do to keep this so interesting! Please continue, as we lurkers out here love to read the muses and ramblings!!
A lot of guys use TER primarily for a reference site. They get ripped off or have a few bad experiences and they find out about TER and reviews as a means to avoid it happening again. They don't join to "make friends" with other guys.
Apparently, they are too busy living life to bother getting caught up in banter back in forth in forums... what's so wrong with that? Just because a guy doesn't post or write reviews does NOT mean he's just jacking off to the juicy details in the reviews. I've seen a number of guys, some very attractive ones too, that never post or write reviews. TER is there "Escort Google," where they do their research. I don't see anything wrong with guys solely using it that way.
I've had guys that don't do reviews tell me point blank that they don't want their IP address tied to something that blatantly states they paid for ____________ (fill in the blank).
As for providers... I know I get very busy with marketing, getting ready for dates, answering emails, and just life in general to sit and write and respond to posts everyday.

I seem to attract under the radar men! It's quite frustrating to meet a man, have a great experience with him, and not get a stellar review out of it. Just my $.02
I own a business and ask every customer for a review of me on Yelp. The majority never do, but some do. You just need to ask...or offer a special of visit, review, repeat, which may get some guys to do it. Its not easy, but it sometimes takes effort in asking for the reviews.
If I was asked, I would do it. I usually only review upon request and its usually from new providers who need the help to get recognized. I rarely review established providers because they already have a page full.
I've been a member of many discussion forums over the years (and a moderator on a couple of them) and the "lurkers" always out number the active posters. Also, there are always a handful of regular posters who tend to contribute to most of the chit-chat which is no different from what I've seen here on the various TER boards.
I've been a TER member since 2003 (started hobbying in 2000) and if I had more free time to waste ...ahhhhhhhh, I mean spend on these boards (LOL), you would probably see me posting more frequently. Anyhoo, this general board has an interesting cast of characters to say the least ...the good, the bad, and the ugly. LOL!
In regards to reviews, I do write them, but not for all of the ladies that I've seen. If I did, my review count would probably be at least 10 times higher. I tend to repeat with my favorites and several are also UTR.
Simple answer to your question - I would be classified as a lurker because I never seem to have much time to participate/contribute to the discussion.
I used to post a lot, and especially so with my pre-2005 TER handle. In recent years, I have had just enough time to log on to TER when I have a trip coming up, to scan the providers in the city I plan to visit, then jump over to the discussion board to see if there is an interesting topic on the first page. Oftentimes the first page does not have a topic where I can add much (and that's assuming that anything I have to say adds much to the discussion.)
I often think that I should post more often, but always seem to be short of time.
I heard a speech about social media the other day, where the presenter made the analogy of a social media lurker to the creepy guy at a party who stands in the corner by himself and watches. I almost wanted to stand up and say "Hey, I resemble that remark!"
Some of the most interesting posters don't post anymore. But if you do a search on this board and go back a few years, you'll see what it used to be like. It was less hostile, and easier to get your two cents in without stepping on toes, or being accused of that. lol
It sure would be nice to see Jockeypants post some of his reports from the field again. Hard to know if some of these people are still among the living. It'd also be nice if some of the banned people could get amnesty and come back without having to beg. That would give the boards a shot in the arm, and probably give the mods a pain in the ass.
