Ladies and Gentleman; as the cooler months approach,I am reminded that I made myself a promise to get-a-way with an established friend. My get-a-way would be of an extended weekend variety.I have yet to establish an 'amiable' friend that I would be willing to share this time with(allright I'm behind schedule, get off my back). I had planned to take this get-a-way in the fall season.

Back to 'Ladies and Gentleman';

If you could engage(oooooh, that's a bad word)in a trip of such a nature, where would it be to. Taking into consideration my requirements stated above? IE...fall season, amiable friend, extended weekend....Ok,busted. I'm really seeking ideas.I don't have the energy for that sort of research.

in Asheville, North Carolina. There isn't much that's more beautifull than the Blue Ridge Mountains in the fall.

its a nice small mountain town with a lot of autumn nature settings. Beautiful mountains and there is a restaurant before you get into town that looks over 3 states of MD,WV,&PA there isnt really much to do in the town in the fall but shop around. But nonetheless very amazing place to go the family has a summer cabin in the woods right on a river very cozy place

because the rates are better, the weather is warm enough during the day yet cool at night, etc.  Nothing like a walk on the beach after a nice candlelight dinner to help set the mood for dessert.

I once drove with a client from San Francisco up the Anderson Valley to Mendocino.  We stopped at several wonderful wineries and did a lot of wonderful tasting.  We also purchased a few bottles of wine and champagne for our weekend.

We checked into a small bed and breakfast in Mendocino called Macallum House and it had a small private hot tub in the patio area and a fireplace in the room.

We sat in the hot tub and drank champage and watched the stars.  We played for hours in the wonderful four post bed.  We laughed, we dined at some great restaurants that were all within walking distance.

We took walks on the headlands and watched gray whales.  It was by far one of my best experiences.

Highly recommended.

Check out two of the finest establishments in the entire country...Blackberry Farm in the Great Smokies of eastern Tennessee...or the Inn at Little Washington in the Blue Ridge Mtns of Virginia.

And just down the road from the Inn is a secluded 1800's Log Cabin. Amazing views and a hot tub with atmosphere. Incredible cabin. :)

*Very* picturesque and romantic along the Hudson in Oct when the leaves are turning just about 50 miles N of NYC - can go into NY for a show or great Jazz clubs in the evening and yet be in a cabin in the woods for the night, cool, crisp evenings, warm days - if it gets into Nov though, the weather can get sketchy...

I agree, get a limousine/driver for the day (one with a privacy screen from the driver), tell him you want privacy between stops (and give him an advance tip and let him know more will be forthcoming), map out a route that gives you about an hour between each winery tour (enough time for fine DATY and other recreation), depart San Fran in the am, spend the day touring, light lunch/dinner (place called Mustard Grill is great place to stop), end up back in SF.

There's great low key bars with plenty of music, good food and the ocean too.The sunset is beautiful and everyone on the island congregates to watch the sun go down and the bewitching hour to begin. The music fills the streets.  Don't pack plenty of fancy clothes as you would be much more comfortable in shorts and teeshirt. There are some really nice hotels on the keys as well. It's a great place to people watch and be watched yourself.

Most providers I know do not charge hourly for overnights.

I have 2 different rates for overnights.

One is if you want to stay in the room and have a 24 hour fuck fest.  Needless to say this cost more.

If it involves a drive and some wining and dining its much more affordable.  Don't let hourly fees dissuade you, definitely contact the provider first and tell her what you're thinking, you might be surprised at just how affordable it is.

The Convention and Visitors Authority makes me say: VEGAS BABY!

People coming to Vegas and having a good time, it's what keeps us here in Las Vegas employed.

Great place, especially the mii amo spa, it's rated one of the best spas in the world. The Pink Jeep tours are also a lot fun. BTW, I am not a schill for the Sedona Chamber of Commerce.

I am aware of the fluctuations that may(do) occur. It is,at times, difficult to do serious searches on these boards. I won't discount the need for jocularity.
