but this is the most selfish post I've seen on TER!!!

No-shows happen!!!  They may result from time wasters, but more often these occur because honest guys have have real family/time/work problems that prohibit the meeting.

You want $75 for the privelege of making an appointment with you?!?!  Are you willing to pay me $75 for making the appointment!?!  We guys have no-shows too!!!

I have never not been there at the appointed time and place, and have been let down by ladies on more than occasion!!!

I have had a few no shows lately and yes, I do a very strict verification process on all my clients, but I have also had many cancel at the last minute. I would like to start requiring a small deposit from clients upon setting up an appointment. Nothing extreme, my fee is $300 hr, so I was thinking around $75. This way I'll be sure to be getting something for the time and effort I put in verifying and booking my clients. You see I only see a limited # of appointments during the day, so I count on every client to show up. I know Paypal is a bad idea. I was wondering if anyone else knew of other service I could use, that are safe, as well as discreet. Thanks any help will be appreciated.

I've found that it is almost impossible to get a deposit for anything less than a dinner date/overnight. Very few clients are willing to go to the extra trouble, and if they are chronic cancellers/no-shows, you can rest assured that there's no way in hell they will put themselves at risk for losing any $.

Unfortunately, just because they check out doesn't mean they'll treat you with respect. I've recently had to "fire" two clients who cancelled more than they showed up. I'm low-volume like you, and I just couldn't take the impact on my schedule or my finances any longer.

I love my good clients... and I never ask them to do anything but arrive with a smile and let me treat them like the princes they are. The rest... well, as the Donald says,

"YOU'RE FIRED!"

The difference is that when the ladies don't show we don't lose any money. I don't think it's an unreasonable concern, specifically for a low volume independent.

I don't support deposits and the market will determine whether she can command them.  If there's enough demand, it can work, if not, then it won't.  However, I disgree that a no-show by a provider is the same as a no-show by the guy.  If you no-show on her, you cost her money.  If she no-shows on you, she costs you time.  You also have a far better chance than she does at scheduling another date quickly.  Your loss is far more likely to be a temporary inconvenience, while hers may be a permanent dent in the wallet.

I've travelled to see a specific SP.  I've booked a specific hotel room for an encounter.

And I have been I've on the street calling her cell, with no answer.

My time is just as valuable as hers!!!

Well thought some provider website that they they may require a deposit sometimes. I remember for that provider used accepted for deposits some kind of prepaid credit card. Please note it was not a normal prepaid credit card. That prepaid credit had some refill cards you could buy at some stores. She would have custimers buy a refill card. The custimers would then would email her the pin number and any other info she needed. She was would to then login in prepaid credit card website and then use the info add the amount of the refill card on her prepaid card. Not sure what name of the prepaid credit card. It very anonymous both the provider and the client. Well I would not accept recremend normal credit cards as using paypal or ccbill as would definately worry about chargebacks.

How about ccbill? I have used them before with adult websites. I am not sure if it will work for this industry, but it is worth a shot.

i share your frustrations and have considered doing something similiar to this.  but since the majority of the gents I see have families, this is near impossible of a request to execute because of the risk is then increased for them in many ways.

Instead of requiring a deposit, despite the fact that I prefer only seeing one gent per day, I have begun booking 2 to 3 appointments per day.  The probability of one at least showing up is increased, and that way I don't loose the day completely when I had other requests to be seen that I turned away because of one that decided not to show. Let's face it, by the day of date, any of the other requests have found other ladies to see, so by then it is too late to go back and schedule an appointment with them.  I know it stinks because sometimes they all show up and it makes for a busy day.  at least it doesn't damage as much finacially by doing it this way instead of the deposit theory which turns a lot of men off.    I'm not trying to tell you what to do.  ultimately it is up to you to decide what to do and what you are comfortable with.  there are no steadfast rules how to do this.  each lady has the ability and right to develop her own method to the madness and should not be scorned or judged because she's seeking a better way to make the most of her endeavors.  there's nothing wrong with asking for suggestions.  last time i checked curiousity is not a crime.

Found out prepaid companies website was.

While I understand that this is the way providers earn a living and everybody wants to have a steady job. I offer my sympathy for your frsutration, but I think it is just wrong.  requiring a deposit for dinner date (2 -4 hours) and the overnight stays seem like a erasonable request.  For a single session, I think that asking for a deposit will turn a potential regular customer away.

1. I agree with Jazz32. When I started the hobby (not long ago) I came in with the frame of mind I have always had towards women.  Treat them respect.  I have canceled once, but I plan as much as I can and was able to give her 2 days notice.  For me, barring a catistrofic event, I would never cancel the day of.  (Unless of course the parking had a lot of blue uniforms in it!) No shows will be a part of the "job".  I have a friend that does hair and has the same type problem.  It is a nature of the business.  If you want a regular work day, there are civilian jobs out there.  (I am not trying to be harsh, this is just my opinion)

2.Loramaze makes very good points.  She makes good sense and offers alternatives.  she is correct in saying there's nothing wrong in asking for suggestions, but sometimes the answer isn't what you want to hear.

3. I am reserving my comments for Alphatau, I am leary of an alias in a topic like this :| I understand your reason for the alias and respect it.  I am making some strong statements here, but as I am not afraid of my decisions I din't use an alias.

4. luv'nlif makes the arguement for what the market would allow.  Requiring deposits make work in one city but not another.  That is the nature of a "free market".  His point of while a provider looses money, our time is just as important. I had a VERY unpleasant experience last month.  I travel over 85 miles to meet her.  Read the link and you will see that it was an unforgetable exerience.  It was over a week before I heard back from her.  She said it was an emergency and didn't even suggest another date.  She didn't send me the email until after I had posted my experience on the local board.  (I asked to delete it b/c I accepted her reason).  Will I ever go there again? NO.  The "free Market" prevails as I have found 2 ladies I plan to see regularly until I run out of money or they retire LOL ;)

I know that may not be what you want to hear.  If you go this route and the clientel you have will pay.  More power to you.  Ultimately, You have to do what is right for you. There is probably a way to combine some of the other suggestions and it works. I hope you are able to find a solution that works.
