Where a "gent" gave a lady a 5/5 rating, which is his prerogative, but it stood out from pages of 8/9 ratings in both looks and performance.

He stated, "She offered me a shower, which I declined, since I had taken one earlier in the day."  Seems like she might have offered him a shower because she perceived he could use one.

I wondered if the session might not have reached its potential because of this, but surely she couldn't have lost her physical "curb appeal" because he had a smelly ass.  Was he just disgruntled?

Personally, I prefer to shower upon arrival, and I let the lady know ahead of time that this will be the case.  I've always assumed the ladies prefer this; am I right?

My SO pointed out a magazine article one time that said "the scent of a freshly showered man tickles a woman's erotic senses like the scent of freshly baked cinnamon rolls tickles the sense of smell."

As the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess this applies to performance as well. Whats attractive or good for you might not be for me. I saw a provider once which in my view was 8/9s but another rate her with 5/6s. I do agree with you on showering and being clean in my experience it makes alot of difference.

Without reading the review and the reviewers other reviews it is hard to say.
It could have more to do with his disappointment of what he saw.

....for not taking her advise for the shower, so her performance was diminished having to wear a close pin on her nose & not giving it her all, thus a YMMV performance which he may have caused.

It’s simple to be clean...you just have to do it.

As a general rule, I will take a shower upon arrival even if I took one an hour before. To me that is a no brainer.

so I just have a brief travel time...  If it takes more than an hour, I request a fresh shower.  This has always worked for me.  

There is a world of differance between a fresh shower & "earlier in the day".  She might just be a cleanliness freak...  it's her pergogitive.  You want her to put what, where?   If he was disappointed, I think he has told us why.

Taking a shower "earlier in the day" doesn't really cut it when you are going to be intimate with someone.  Of course none of was in the room with these two but I'd say it's quite possible that the level of service he received was directly related to how close she could get to his cock without holding her nose...

Some guys just don't get it.  It's ALWAYS YMMV but, to some extent, we as clients can help determine what we get.

There is no substitute for good hygiene and treating the lady with respect.  If he missed on both of these, then he deserves a "5" session.

I agree, always shower beforehand, and when offered the chance, always accept - even if you just showered, it makes the provider more comfortable.

But on the other hand, I think one of the most annoying things is providers who offer showers, but then lack any towels to dry off (or offer only one damp towel that appears to have been used by multiple prior visitors).  One of my biggest pet peeves is providers who don't provide a clean towel.

I shower for you so it would be nice if you returned the favor. If you take a shower prior or once you get there does not matter to me as long as you do it. LOL. I do have to admit that it does "tickle" the senses to smell a freshly showered man.
