I am relatively new to the hobby(still waiting for my first reveiw to show in the reveiw section) and this is my first post here so this question may have been posted but I'm curious;

For the hobbiest; Do you wear your wedding ring to a session?

For the provider; Do you want to see a wedding ring on your client's finger at a session?

I don't know about the rest of you but I have a serious tan line around my ring so not wearing it looks almost silly.

Keep the flames down guys I'm just trying to get a handle on this wonderful new part of society I've just discovered!

Haven't been active in a while but:

I do not wear it usually.   Am careful not to get a tan line as well.   I usually claim to be either divorced, or in the middle of a divorce.   My reason-  I feel that woman will not respond as well to a "cheater" even if they are the cheatee!  Just a thuoght- hard for them to think well of me.  Or I wear it on the right hand "as a memento of my failed marriage (less chance to mislay it)".   As I do the same to play sports- play havoc w/ the j- no-one sems to notice (SO/kids)

But I am out of the loop recently-  perhaps more inveterate hobbyists will weigh in...

In fact, I took off the ring and told the SO its because of golf.

I find a much better response from the providers, and I've tried it both ways (wit and without ring).

Marlin, my ring always comes off, probably from a little guilt. I always tell the ladies that I am married when the subject comes up or in normal conversation about kids, etc. The ladies that I have spoken with actually prefer married men, because there is less chance of them trying to form a relationship with the lady. I really don't think that the ring will affect your meeting one way or the other. Best Wishes for enjoyment in this very enjoyable activity.

The majority of providers won't be upset or even fazed in the least if you're married.  In fact, most providers prefer their clients to be married.  Married men are more stable.  Married men are less likely to form uncomfortable emotional ties to the provider.  Never forget this is a business transaction, Marlin, no matter how you or the provider choose to sugarcoat it.  You pay to play.  Plain and simple.  Enjoy your time with the ladies, but keep it real and keep your head screwed on straight.  And if you're married, keep your band on, for heaven's sake.

I don't wear a ring, but then I lost mine while playing golf (really). But, I've often been asked by the ladies if I'm married, and I've always answered truthfully. When I had the ring, I didn't see providers, but did wear it at the strip clubs and it didn't seem to make a difference to the dancers. If you've got a tan line, I agree that it looks silly not to wear it unless you're going to claim that you're recently separated or divorced. JMHO

BTW, it is a whole lot easier telling a provider that you're married (cuz she won't care), than explaining to your wife why the hell it's in your pants pocket instead of on your finger.

Wear it--they're not looking for a husband and I agree with the comments that married men, especially happily married, are least likely to be looking for more than a tryst.

Except that I think it's silly to try to hide it... Why on earth would we CARE??? My concern is not whether or not you are married... (or, back to that OLD discussion, white, black, fat, skinny, whatever!) but whether you are enthusiastic, open, ready, willing, and able!

I doubt if they're looking for a boyfriend. I don't ask because I wouldn't want to make anyone uncomfortable. However, when I'm giving them a good solid massage for half an hour or so it generally comes up in the conversation unless they're the real silent type.

What I would like to know is why some of them insist on asking ME if *I* am married, what my husband/boyfriend thinks of me giving HJs, touching people intimately, etc. I get that a lot.

IMHO sounds like a variation of the question "How did a nice girl like you get involved in a business like this?"

Since the vast majority of clients I've seen have been married, it just makes sense that the few no shows I've had, most have been from married men.  I think the whole no show thing is more based on luck and whether or not someone is a gentleman, then whether they are married or not... but if it works for you it's all good :)

Absolutely agree.  I always keep my wedding ring on.  One reason is it's a bitch to get off (I'm not as thin as I once was) and the just thought of leaving it anywhere (even in my car's ashtray) and having my wife notice my empty finger gives me chills.

Based on my non-scientific studies, more than 75% of the guys are married and the ladies love us!  No reason to hide it.  It actually works great in public because the guys that are drooling thinking the provider is my wife!!  :-)
