...someone refers to your "date" as your husband/wife?

I've had this happen to me fairly often, as my ATF and I are very close in age.  While I don't correct them, when it happens, I just let it pass, and don't mention it once it's over.

Is it embarrassing, do you say something, or do you get nervous if the other person likes the reference too much?

Especially when the lady in question is in her twenties. lol

I like it a hell of a lot better than when some asshole refers to my "date" as my daughter. That's a good way to get me to go all "MP67" on his sorry ass. lmao

Truth be told, it's just another advantage of P4P, you don't have to worry about a provider starting to get delusions of impending marriage, unlike civvie GF's.

My ATF and I are often mistaken for a couple; our ages are "close enough" and we spend long hours together doing some couple-like things.  One hotel in particular routinely refers to her as "Mrs R" since we weekend there a few times a year and the staff is fairly stable.  She has no trouble checking in alone if she gets their first, they don't ask either of us for ID any more.  It used to amuse me, now I notice but it doesn't phase me either way.  She used to be upset about it but not any more.

That happens to me quite often.  We usually just go along with the scenario of being husband and wife.  One time when my ATF and I were vacationing in Vegas together, she went as far as telling our waiter at the restaurant that we were on our honeymoon ...LOL.
