I lost EVERYTHING i owned. ( basically just left with the shirt on my back )
So of course my Credit is in the shit-can also.
I do have a pre-paid debit card, but, when i can, i use cash.
One thing about cash, it keeps the impulse buying down. When you count out the cash to pay for something, you actually think about the amount you are spending, compared to whipping out plastic. ( atleast that's the way it works for me )
That old saying, "a penny saved, is a penny earned" is still true.

ps, filling up that envelope to pay for a lady, is a tough decision sometimes...lol.

education, I didn't do student loans because that is money I knew I someday had to pay back. Yet, all of my classmates borrowed money and some even spend that borrowed money recklessly. Sad part about those cases are, some are still paying those interest loans back, and they graduated a while ago. I'm old school, if I don't have the money, I don't buy. I don't care if its Christmas or some holiday. If I don't have money, they aren't getting any gifts. It's called tough love.

Some credit cards have very high interest rates. These days, interest rates on most types of loans are also very high. When I bought my house, I didn't even wanted to do loans. There were a couple of methods I used to purchase the house, but, I can't reveal it here unless you pay me for my advices. Anyhow, I was able to make a one time purchase on the house. I am not rich by any means, just fortunate enough to make some okay decisions.

Anyhow, here is my philosophy for credit cards and loans. If you don't have the money on you, how the fuck do you think you can pay it back if you didn't have it in the first place. So, only spend on what you can afford.

I am exactly like this...  I pay with cash/debit card and after being really careless with credit cards when I was younger, Ive sworn those off and instead am building up an emergency fund and have zero debt. The only reason I dont have better credit is because I dont have any revolving credit lines.

Most of my friends my age are about $20k in debt, between school and credit cards... I dont know how I'd sleep at night knowing I owe that much to anyone!  Now, I do need the willpower to live below my means... If I have a dollar in my pocket, I will spend it lol So I have a habit of putting money into savings and then forgetting about it otherwise Id spend it on dining out, shopping and happy hour. I live right up to my means, but...at least I do not live beyond my means.

Is how I made my money. I am now 38 and don't need to work for a living. My businesses I keep reinvesting in now are self managing and can easily support my lifestyle with change to spare.
