Problem a lot of escorts face is isolation.  In order to maintain healthy balanced life, we have to make conscious effort to have a life.

It is extremely easy to fall into routine when ALL of your contacts are either with other professionals or with clients.  Pretty soon world becomes divided into "hobby" and the rest of universe.

I've noticed that those ladies who have families, "civvie" friends and main stream aspirations are much more "together" so to speak.

Now this is only one person's words, but I have a feeling she is not alone in her thinking. What a shame any lady in the business would say or even think this. Also, quite surprising if you feel this way you would continue to be part of a community which you "disdain." I, myself, do think some escorts have issues, but I pretty much think the same about the general public because most people have issues. Most people with issues function normally and are productive members of society, so their failings are just part of being human. I never judge or look down on anyone. Like everyone else, I have made mistakes in my life. Just fortunate for me all of my mistakes were able to be corrected/forgiven without any permanent or serious consequences.

I think it is unfortunate that in our little community where safety and bonding should be paramount, unfounded animosities make us all - Ladies and Gentleman - less secure and in turn, less successful. I completely understand the frustration the business can cause for both escort and gentlemen. However, it is not any different than life. Most people get frustrated at their jobs because of lazy co-workers or mean bosses. People get frustrated at home with selfish spouses and unruly children. If you can't deal with these realities without attacking others perhaps you need talk therapy - That tends to be a good tool. Hell, any tool which helps, and does not hinder/harm.

But at the end of the day, those who are bent of hating others and being unhappy will probably not yield to such logic. Such a shame. In an industry of pleasure, there can be so much negativity and hurt.

Maybe the young lady was telling you this because of all the compartmentalization and alter egos that are transpiring when they are entertaining their guest.  Now what would be happening according to the young lay is that now they are taking on the entertainment persona as their real and primary persona. Henceforth they confuse the real person with the one that they use when they are entertaining clients.

There are a few who does not have issues because they have come to understand themselves and the their part in this world. Are selfaware, humble and let things happen as they may.

These gross genralizations of "everyone has issues" and "men are desperate" are really ridiculous statments. You may know a few with issues (may be you seek them out), you may know few desperate men (there are plenty), but neither calls for generalizations.
