Well I'm still rather new to the hobby, and trying to experience a variety.  I forsee that will likely become a repeat client with small number of providers and spend more time with them.

I am on a budget, but it is less than 1k per month.  I can afford one 2-hr appointment per month, so I lean toward seeing few providers.  In fact, right now I see one lady each month. I'd like to try to save up and maybe see another one every 2 or 3 months, also.  I tend to feel more comfortable with a provider after I've seen her a few times,  and each successive appointment is better than the last.  I'd prefer longer dates with fewer providers rather than seeing 4 or 5 providers in a month.

I see my ATF about twice a month for two hours each visit. This averages out to about $1200 per month including fees and small gifts that I bring to each visit. As I travel a lot for work time is more of a constraint on my regular visits than money is.
I also have an out of town fav that I see when I am in her area as well as the occasional new lady when I am on the road.
The same lady vs. new girl every time dilemma is one that pretty much solved itself for me. I found within a few months of meeting my ATF last year that I was comparing all of my new dates to her and she was coming out ahead every time.
I still do like to experiment once in a while-lol, and the ATF loves it when I tell her about my adventures!

I like to cultivate a relationship when the chemistry is right and that can be expensive but it beats wasting resources on bars, strip clubs, and B&S CL providers... as for $ it depends... but I hobby monthly at the very least.

Whatever combination gives you the most overall happiness. That is different for each person, and may change month to month. Maybe some month you want a guaranteed quality time. Sometimes you want to see what else is on the menu.

For me, I prefer the classic beauty with a GFE experience. They tend to charge more. Unfortunately, I can't afford to hobby on a regular basis at that price.

However, I have recently come across a new lady who has very reasonable rates. We hit it off, she is a doll, and I'm thinking, maybe I could be a regular. She isn't the best, but she is good enough to maximize the happiness for what I can afford.

I am not sure why, but it has always been my preference for a several hour appointment, than an one hour date...

Variety nor quantity are my preference... though junk food does taste really damn good sometimes...

I would see 3 to 4 providers a week. I enjoyed the newness of each lady and the excitement. However, after a year and having seen so many providers in such a short time the newness of newness wore off.

By that I mean, seeing a new lady who essentially provided the same "services" was not all that exciting. I slowed my hobbying down to usually once a week and chose the ladies I really liked seeing.

That said, the $'s to me were not as important as the performer and I prefer going to see someone I knew was a proven performer over a new "hit or miss" opportunity.

I have been to several session that were YMMV and walked away disappointed and needing a session to ... shall we say express myself.

That said, I believe this goes to each individuals taste but I now prefer to repeat than to try the new. The dollars I spend even on the regulars vary significantly but the performance does not.

If one of my favorites is around, I tend to go for them first.

When I go for someone new, given that the hit or miss rate is basically the same in my price range, I tend to go for the low end of my range, and work up from there.  I tend to book no further than 30 minutes away (I live and work in fairly convenient locations in 3 different cities); a lot of time, it's only about 5, 10 minutes, or just around the block  LOL.

Above all, everything depends on my mood and how horny I am at that moment.   LOL.  But I do try to play within my budget.

my hobby activity isn't restricted to any kind of set budget. I can hobby at will without it posing any real financial burden.

Time isn't a problem either.I'm single so no worries about having to cover my tracks. And given the nature of my job, my company lets me work from home which provides for a lot of flexibility with my schedule.

To me, the quandary is finding what I deem to be really good provider(s). I've bitched about this in the past, but I've been hobbying for 8 years now and  I've the hobby take a nosedive over the last couple years in terms of quality.

When review boards like TER first became a staple in the hobby, they did a reasonably good job of providing checks and balances as well as rewarding the really good providers for their efforts. These days the flood gates are open and every other girl and her sister is in the business with nothing but easy and ample cash on their minds. And 90% of the male population knows about the hobby so there's more guys than ever partaking. Everything is just diluted these days and the hobby isn't anywhere near what it used to be. Even providers that are pulling in 9's and 10's, I often walk away scratching my head thinking "guys thought *this* was a "10"!?!?!

So..off my soap box.....

I don't fully subscribe to the bee in the wildflowers theory because it's become too common to walk away from new experiences less than satisfied. I don't fully subscribe to the horticulturist theory either because providers don't really value regular clients anymore. The shelf life of "growing experiences" is pretty short lived.

I maintain a hybrid approach that is constantly revolving. One or two regular girls, and continually on the lookout for new girls that I think might be the real deal. By the time I find the next "real deal" one of the regular ladies has usually fallen out of favor and then the new "real deal" provider takes her place in the rotation. And this cycle repeats.

Too much effort to be honest, but that's the state of the hobby these days!

The easiest way to waste money is to spend it on something that's not what you really wanted.

Save and make sure you see the one that is really making your heart pound and your brain float.

With enough research, it is not that hard to find a wonderful person at a reasonable price.

Yes, I stay within a specified budget which allows about 1 date every 3 or 4 weeks.  I prefer 90 minute appointments when I can get them although I will see new ladies for an hour the first date.  

Time is the bigger constraint.  I don't hobby where I live (too risky) so I must wait until I have a trip scheduled out of town.  Sometimes I'll have two dates within a week and then go 5 or 6 weeks without.

I usually do a mixture of an ocassional new lady mixed in among ladies who I have enjoyed previous dates.  If I have a good time with a lady and I think we click, I will see her again.  Every once in a while, this doesn't happen for whatever reason.
