Those I know who get that money--and more--don't advertise that amount. Most don't advertise at all. Strictly WOM among the circles that can afford $25K/night. It is a whole different corner of the world, and in a lot of ways the rules and priorities of those players are very different. Those prices are far, far beyond my means but I have a friend who let me peek behind the curtain (figuratively).
But the fact is that in this business, some ladies have created artificial demand for themselves.

Conceding that there's NO such thing as a perfect market, and putting aside monopolies or the rarely seen monopsony, for most of modern history all you need for a well functioning market is willing sellers and buyers and reasonably well shared information. I think you have those basic elements here. The market is no more perfect or imperfect than most others.

You only have to compare the non-ps provider market with the ps provider market.
It has relatively similar working parts.
The difference is you know how the ps performs, plus minus what's she's willing to put on her menu, her market scarcity factor (has she been providing, how famous and how long since she released a movie that made you horny, her actual age on imdb/iafd), and her comps (agency published rates of a broad range of ps'es).
With that incremental improvement in transparency, i argue you've improved the market quality. It's hard to gauge if satisfaction improved per $ spent but prices became more elastic. That's proveable if a business major were to do a dissertation.
