Here are the answers:
1) That's how bartering started.
2) Sort of.
3) Evil stems from wanting.

Now for the question that baffles me:

As long as everything works out, why do people care what's fair and what isn't?

Yes, of course it did. It was called bartering. Still used today. As a matter of fact, I used it yesterday for sex. Money just made it more efficient. Money is fair, unless, of course, you don't have enough of it. lol

gunpoint to do it are you? Strictly a conscious, voluntary decision on the part of everyone here.

And yes, money is the root of all evil.

with your sex partner.

I would concede that the vast majority of P4P situations are casual in that the client and provider don't have much interaction or even thoughts about each other in between their meetings and also would not be overly upset should circumstances require that they not meet again.

And that is fine.

However, I think some clients and perhaps even providers (Though I should let them comment on that.) do have some feelings for some of their sex mates and that is something more than casual even if it doesn't rise to the level of an SO relationship.

That can be fine, or it could be troubling depending on how one handles it.

Speaking for myself, I have known a number of providers for up to 25 years, and I would be very distraught if anything should happen whereby I could not see them again.

In a way that makes our relationships all that much more appealing, but also holds the possibility of heartache, a situation that has come up for me on more than a few occasions owing to the vicissitudes of this lifestyle.

But I wouldn't change a thing I've done, for the most part.

That isn't the same as "falling in love," and, as Mr. Fisher says, it doesn't mean spending thought or a great deal of communication outside the session time. But having a session with a person who I decidedly don't even care to be around would take the casualness right out it for me.

The idea is to experience the PLEASURE of each other.

WickedBrut 27 Reviews 1308 reads

If I have only a little money, but enough, do I have more than the guy with much more than I have, more than enough to fulfill his needs, but still can't help wanting more?

And what exactly IS money? How exactly do you sift out a numerical value when assets and investments are subject to change and currency values inflate or (*shudder*) deflate? If you die with a dollar still in your pocket, don't you lose a dollar of your wealth?

Tell the truth, I think providers should all get together and adopt a "currency" of, say, glass beads or something to give to each client at the end of the session. Then the clients could go home and admire their collection of glass beads and enjoy a quantitative richness in beads. Then, instead of just calling it the hobby, we could give a nod to Hermann Hesse and call it The Glass Bead Game. All this fretting about money could be put to rest.

The wife was snoozing with her head on my leg while she lay on the couch and  I was sitting up watching TV.  I poked her and pointed at the TV and said "see!  It would be good for you if we had some casual sex right now...  Not to mention me!"  She says to me " I was having a dream and it totally wasn't about sex.  Good night, I'm going to bed, I'm tired."  It was only 10:30!  We both had off work today to attend a graduation so woke up late, had a leisurely breakfast, went to the ceremony, had a celebratory lunch with the kid and family, came home and did nothing the rest of the day, WTF is she so tired about?  Kids were in bed by 9:30 and asleep before 10.  Granted my approach wasn't romantic tonight, simply a pointing out of facts.  Romance doesn't help though (I know this after slightly less than 2 decades of experience).  She's just not a sexual person.  Until she is.  She's either "on" or "off".  There's no getting her to the "on" mode unless she wants it, my needs are irrelevant.  When she is "on" it's good, damn good.  When she's off, I'm just a warm teddy bear to her.  Hugs, pecks, snuggles and not much else.

Just sharing ONE reason why I hobby.

(Others include my own psyche and need to be pleased even if it's p4p)

And nowhere in this thread are we talking about bonordoner or jca or twilight zone or Causality,  even though we just talked about it because going forward we aren't talking about in reverse time. Rofl

Is twilight zone fair?   What if sex doesn't sell?

Also her answer was clearly directed to his post, but that is besides the point.

Apparently, causality has no meaning in your world.  Things exist before they are even invented and events occur before they actually occurred.  And the subject of any thread isn't ever what we are or were claimed to be discussing. We also must question if anything is fair.

No where in this thread are we talking about twilight zone. :D
