Amanda, I thought I had a pretty thick skin, but have to say I reacted similarly to you.  Gratuitous stupid destructive violence per se against inanimate objects may, depending on the circumstances, contain some humor, but on a defenseless animal is the sign of a sick human with some esteem issues of his or her own.  Karma suggests that Bareback No-braina may at some time be the poor fuck in the tree.  And if there is truly schadenfreude, I'll be the smilin' idiot with the gun... .

While I agree that the video was in bad taste, you seem to ignore how life in the wild can be.  the is nothing "humane" about animals natural instincts...or what ours would be like, if we really had to fight for survival.

Unfortunately, it comes as no surprise at all to me that there are people like this out there, whether all of the video was for real or not.

....your analogy between this video and survival in the wild is weak to say the least! In the wild predators kill for their survival or the survival of their offspring in one form or another. In the wild animals DON'T do what's depicted in that video!

And don't try to play me out as some bleeding heart bitch. Because you can shove that shit right back up your ass. Yes, I'm an animal lover, but I've been around guns and hunting all of my life. But what was depicted in that video was just plan sick.

which is exactly why I used an alias.  Animal lovers are usually irrational and about animal issues when they are on a rant...and there is usually some smart ass like Gambler who piggybacks on it with nothing to add (see his first post on the thread...it isn't like he had a problem with the post, just the board placement) but who tries to look like he is sympathetic.  How sweet.

The ironic thing is that am always being labeled a bleeding heart, so it is hugely amusing to me to hear you thinking I am coming from the opposite direction.

It wasn't an analogy, lady...it was simple fact.  The animals weren't doing that against their will.  There wasn't some human standing there with a whip making them go at that bear's corpse. Whether they are in the wild fighting for survival or whether some sick-ass redneck starved or overly trained them and set them on this animals' corpse, they are still responding from their instincts...albeit, these dogs have probably been geared to be this way (much the way some people gear dogs for fighting or to be over-aggressive for "security").

I'm so glad to hear that you are around the "humane" hunters and gun owners.  I'm sure they only use their guns for self protection if someone enters their home with violent intent, and they hunt with dart guns and just stun their prey...because all of us REAL bleeding hearts think hunting is STUPID if it isn't necessary, and with our food supply chain, hunting is NOT necessary.  

But hey, go ahead...make fun of me.  If it makes you feel better.

I didn't piggy back on anything,I was the first responder and I am the furthest thing from sweet. The OP made a political post on the GD board, that kind of crap doesn't belong here for exactly this reason.

FWIW it takes a lot more than that stupid video to offend me. I never made any pretense to be sympathetic to the bleeding heart crowd. Nature is a tough place, a bunch of sniveling PETA members isn't going to change the natural order of things.

One last thing, anyone who thinks doing the nasty on a freshly killed bear carcass has never smelled a freshly killed bear, they emit one of the nastiest odors that would gag a maggot. How a person could enjoy sex subjected to that kind of stench is beyond me. Yes I have killed a bear, and yes at that time in my life hunting was necessary and if you don't understand I really don't give a fuck.

As for your "adventures", I am so glad that you have progressed beyond being accidentally lost in the wild without enough edible vegetation to make it back to civilization...as I would think that nowadays that would be the only reason hunting was "necessary" for your survival (unless you were in a war and away from your troop), but honestly, your macho post shouts "cynical alpha male" so loudly, none of this matters.  You wouldn't listen to anything but your own views if you were dying.
