 i assume that most providers aren't using their real names, so i feel stupid to call them by the professional name, especially in the heat of the moment.    i'm not the type of person who normally uses terms like "sweetie" or "baby,"  so i either sound fake using those terms, or use something impersonal like "you"
  any suggestions from hobbyists?  and for providers, do you respond to your professional name as you would your real name?

and since I rarely hear my real name being used, it now sounds weird to me to hear it.

I have a few provider friends that, even though I know their real first names, I prefer to (still) use their provider names. For one, two of them 'look' more like their provider names and not their real names! Their REAL names don't really suit them! LOL!

As for what to call her when you're with her, you don't always have to call her anything at all, do you? And, if you do, do you like 'hon'? It rolls more comfortably off the tongue than 'sweetie' or 'baby'...

The hard part about calling a gal by her professional name is when the professional name isn't condusive to sexy moaning and groaning.  Like, let's take a made up name that no one has...like "doorknob".   I can't moan out "doorknob".  It's hard to cheer on or encourage someone named "doorknob".  I have to make up a nickname like "knobby" or shorten it to "doory".  Not to mention the fact that some ladies actually use non-names as names, such as "Fever" or "Big Ass" or "doorknob" or something!

Many ladies, in the effort to stand out from the pack make up some pretty original stuff that I couldn't get my mouth around.

The other problem that's probably only been around because of the internet is I SEE a lady's name many times before I know how to pronounce it.  

So I find myself in bed with...
 "I'm sorry...is it PooKEEsaa?  Or is it POOkeesaw?  Oh forget it, baby, Kiss me honeybunch, you're great sugar."


Anyway.  Thanks Sedona for taking the energy in your busy time to remember my real name and letting me have it right between the eyes.  It is a golden moment of GFE for me.  Thanks.

I don't like it...I like my real name.  I didn't know when I made up my handle that people would be calling me that at parties and at playtime.)

No one who knows me uses my handle.  It's kinda weird to talk to someone and use it.

Depending on how well I know the lady and how comfortable we are with each other, we often use terms of affection such as "sweetie," "baby," "hon" or whatever.  

It is awkward to use the last one as my ex-wife and I used to say that.

I don't really understand why you would feel awkward. I'm sure that unless the lady is very new she has become more than used to being called by her "stage" name.

Personally, i prefer to use that name over most any other thing I could think of to call a woman. They're just as human as we are, and using an actual name is just one of the ways for everyone to remember that. Be it a real name or not, it's still the name she has chosen to work under and go by.

Sweetie and baby get very old very fast. On the ladies side I can see and understand why it's used so much, but I don't really care for it.

Is that they are so "fake" as to be laughable. How many "joys", "angels", "passions". "sparkles" can you meet w/o falling down laughing? I used to never see providers with two names in the early days because it always meant higher premiums. Now days, most providers have two names because they dabble in the porn business and I guess get a second identity. Sheesh, I dunno. My standard is this: If i like you, I will ask you for your real first name and it means that I like you, enjoyed our time together etc... If I don't ask, seeing you again is as likely as getting Triple, double red sevens in Vegas. Placing a real first name is important to me to establish rapport with you. I'd rather have a few quality friends, rather than fuck the rainbow.

Very true. To be honest I hadn't even thought along the line of names you're referring to but see it now. I associate those types of names with dancers alot more than escorts.
