Have u noticed that most ads (in the fine print at the bottom) have the disclaimer that "we are not prostitutes". My question is... is it necessary? I honestly don't even know if it would make the ad illegal per say since these websites force us to use very strict language to avoid such implications that we all know very well here.
An article somewhere a while back indicated that a couple of lawyers made a specialty representing escorts and they came up with a bunch of do's and don'ts for internet ads. Maybe they figured out what works in a trial or what can get past the G00gleMonster, or maybe they are selling snake oil?
The name of the firm is White, Envelope & Benjamin (just kidding).

Some time ago someone posted an article claiming that a judge allowed as evidence for the prosecution, a gal's disclaimer on her ad with the argument that it proves she was involved in prostitution or why else would she have had the disclaimer in the first place.
It is against the law to advertise prostitution, separate from and in addition to being against the law to actually solicit prostitution. Thus, the "we are not prostitutes" disclaimer could be a way to avoid the charge of advertising prostitution.
With the strict word restriction and the way most of us advertise. It isn't necessary to clarify what you are "NOT" offering. I mean. That's why I posed the question.
If u read most ads. It's clear they are not offering a specific sexual service. Just time and companionship. The fine print just seems unnecessary and wouldn't hold in court.
Some of the contorting languages maybe for mollifying and whitewashing the web sites from being targeted but legal wise they mean nothing and offer no protection IF and WHEN LE wants to target individual providers.
Stop sugar coating truth. ..Ladies engaged services for exchange money.I have good friend criminal defense attorney I ask him questions about adult business.
LE and the authorities can do a lot of things not within the law and who will challenge them? Who wants the grief.

I had a lawyer look at my old site, and I had such a disclaimer (many years ago). He said to throw it out, because it makes you look more suspect. I've never included it since.
