I don't understand keeping your toenails long like that. It's creepy and kinda' scary. EOM.

I won't say one negative thing.  At least they got to go to their Prom.  I didn't get asked.  Oh, poor poor me. LOL

A few of the photos had the name of the school written on them and said they were from the school's Jr/Sr Prom.

I edited out that info.

OFF :-)

..So do not feel too bad.   Perhaps, we should have a "I did not go to my prom" support group.   Perhaps the after prom activities could be engaged in now??

There's a woman who goes to the same nail salon as I do who has those scary long toe nails. I asked her once what she does in the winter, and she just looked at me like I was nuts and answered 'open toed shoes, duh'.

In Toronto? In six feet of snow? I guess gangrene and frost bite can be sexy...or something.

I remember the good old days of my prom (gosh, it really wasn't THAT long ago- not yet a decade ago, hehe) but I wore a full length designer dress without the ghetto acoutrements. I still have the picture and the picture with Mom before I left to  prom, taken on my front lawn (so embarrassing at the time. lol.)

We had it at one of the studios in Hollywood where they cleared off the streets to leave room for the pictures, they had tables where we could sit and eat (though we'd all eaten with our dates at nice restaurants beforehand) and the dj was at the other end with the dance floor.

I think I still have the sash from prom court. lol. I was only a princess, but damned if it wasn't fun.

These pictures are kind of insane, but I suppose that if that's their style and the way they'd like to present themselves, rock on. However, when I have kids one day, they will be dolled up in STYLE for prom, not looking like they were auditioning for a rap video.

Raise those kids with dignity and respect. You're a breath of fresh air.

Ansley, if you ever went back to one of your high school reunions, I bet you were the woman that all the guys noticed.  You were the one that they commented to eachother with:
"Is that so-and-so from chemistry?  Holy Cow!  Talk about a late bloomer!"

The guys tried not to look at you while the other women tried not to be too jealous.

Better to blossom late than to fade early!
