END OF MESSAGE

Ok yea sex and cuddling is probably the best for us men, but without really deviating from the forum topic, what ya'll do? Just trying to find ways myself.

I take my prescribed anti-anxiety medication and/or get laid.

I figured.... what better place to ask away than on this forum. I feel like I need to get laid every weekend + cuddle every night and morning. But for practical purposes...

Ever heard people talk about pot that makes them paranoid/stressed?

Hydro. Hydro sucks. It gets ya fucking high but it sucks. Why?

THC causes stress.

Marijuana grown in mother Earth develops naturally occurring cannabinoids which inhibit the anxiety causing properties of THC. Hydro does not have these cannabinoids because it isn't grown in soil.

Weed of the soil is the best weed.

Exercise is the answer.

Stress/anxiety is a sign that the "fight or flight" response is queued up getting your body hypertuned, ready for the extreme physical activity associated with fighting or running away.

Stress/anxiety is caused by a buildup of too much epinephrine in the system and the best way to counteract that is vigorous exercise that metabolizes the adrenalin and releases endorphins- calming your ass down.

Problem is, people don't do that.

We get psychologically stressed out over life, and although the situations most likely aren't mortal, the more primitive area of the brain (limbic system) responds as such and kicks out the adrenalin. Instead of indulging in the normal physical outburst you're prepared for, people pop a pill...Xanax, or any other fast acting benzodiazapine. Or people get prescribed SSRIs and become a non-emotional zombie.

Benzos artificially amplify the effect of GABA in the brain to get you to relax, it counters the effects of the adrenalin, but doesn't metabolize it. GABA is a neurotransmitter that performs many, many functions one of which is anxiolytic in nature (Anti-Anxiety/Sedative, etc..). GABA controls how much stress you can cope with. Your stress bandwidth if you will...

The problem with anti-anxiety meds is that you're artificially changing the chemical balance of the brain. When you introduce the medication the brain actually stops producing as much GABA. (Thiss is why people end up taking more and more of a drug to achieve the same effect) Then when you stop taking the meds you flip your biscuit simply because you don't have enough GABA to deal with stress, your bandwidth is contracted. Brain chemistry doesn't respond so quickly and all of a sudden you can't handle any stress. It's a bad place to be.

The best way to rid yourself of stress is exercise. Physical activity is the natural result of the fight or flight response.

Take care of your body and it will take care of you

Thanks for the long reply. I gotta get my laziness in control and should try that. Though I would say I definitely agree.

It's very sedate. ~300 calories and hour...

Get yourself burning 800-1000 calories an hour.

You're head will feel clear, your focus will feel superpowered, you'll feel confident and relaxed

actually I find different work outs are better at relieving stress,

Most cardio type activities, even the high calories burning ones like running hills or stair steppers don't really do much in the way of stress relief. I am sure running six miles will burn more calories than twenty minutes on the heavy bag , or a good interval training session with weights. but the latter sure work better at relieving stress, at least for me they do.

and nothing works better than a real good fuck session, you know the kind where you both collapse into a pile of sweat barely able to move afterwards. come to think of it, I am feeling a bit stressed right now. I think I need to go get laid.

I've been on the same dosage for years, and I have not built up a tolerance or developed a dependency.  Sometimes, I go for days without taking my anti-anxiety meds.  I only take it when i need it.

I am not on Xanax/alprazolam, though.  That stuff is habit-forming, and it has a harsh withdrawal cycle if you stop taking it.

I also get a fair amount if exercise.

What are you on for anti-anxiety? and yes, some people can maintain an equilibrium not requiring higher dosages. I was able too but I actively was aware of the possibility of tolerance/dependancy and I controlled it.

The problem is people start popping the meds when they feel even a little stressed and it starts a vicious usage cycle.

What do you consider a "fair" amount of exercise?

Clonazepam.  I'm prescribed 2mg per day, but .5-1mg a day is plenty for most days.  Every once in a while, I need to take my full prescribed dose.

I go for a 3-4 mile walk 2-3 times a week.

In charge of job's where I have to get sub's to do there job. If I get mad an scream they  just leave, If I suck up then they take advantage. If I take a zannie then I don't give a shit. So after I get off work jump on tread mill 30 minutes. Then take my  ball bat an beat hell out of a tree in my yard. This is no joke it work's for me! I have killed one tree already!

I get on WoW and kill monster lol

Or I go out and watch a Disney Cartoon Movie with mu little ones

I lay in bed listening to music

this is my favorite !

I put on my kinky porn an masturbate till all I think about is how good I feel lol
