I was talking to a CL provider today. I have seen her 6 times and she told things are getting tough on CL. She told me that CL has a new rule with phone confirmation to create an account for posting. She also told me that if more than 3 posts are made from the same account the ads get removed. She told that she has had to depend on regulars to make it. Do you all think these rules will improve the quality of CL providers to keep regulars coming back ?
For those of you who want to knock down CL keep in mind there are some top quality TER providers who use CL on a regular basis.
Nope, in my area the pimps are still lightning fast at "flagging" down posts from the competition. On a local discussion board, a week doesn't go by wihtout at least one provider ranting in frustration about her ads being flagged as soon as she posts them.
Here, CL is strictly the domain of pimps who have all the time in the world to flag down posts from other women while their 'employees' do all the work.
I read an article about how certain aspects of CL is being taken to court for allowing prostitution so up front on their boards with out policing it. I think this is why they are now on top of that. Not sure what its all about but that sounds like they are trying to at least Look like they are making an effort.
I have seen the 'phone verification' CL before in another market.. Very clean board and stiffer rules..
But in my area (Atlanta) like most places, it does not take long for a 'flag down'..
Then there is the ever present 'certain' calls I get from there..
I only use CL one week some times 2, a month, reposting every three days.. Come Thursday I know my first flag down will happen.. He calls me right before he does it.. Know who he is, where he is and who he works for.. It is a pattern in it..
I advertise on CL(Houston) and sometimes my ad will stay up for a few hours other times for a few minutes.
The good thing about the new rules it is harder for someone to trash a lady now. An individual whose main objective is to create chaos and slander is less likely to share their email address and a phone number.
The downside is that legit ladies still get flagged by the rif raf that has nothing better to do with their time.
I don't think the new CL rules will make any difference. There are times when I can camp there, window shopping, as it were... and a new add will be flagged before I can click on it! Some laies are posting thier number in the address line so it can still be read before it's removed (and a number search will show who they are). But I'll not see a CL advertized that's not TER reviewed. So except for specials, what's the point? I usually have a list a few days before my afternoon off... S
