I can't ever remember seeing an outcall sting.

You're referring to outcall stings where the "host" is LE. I cant ever remember an outcall sting when an actual client was the host. I guess they have happened, but there typically isn't enough upside for LE. They catch one guy? How can that be worth the time and effort?

....an escort was caught in an undercover sting by LAPD. They booked a nice hotel room and requested an outcall from her and slapped the cuffs on her.

Her lawyer, the main character, then cut a deal with the cops to get her into "a program" in exchange for her being bait to capture a cartel member that was in LA and regularly booked her services.

I am curious if anyone has ever known or heard of a similar situation. Not as extreme as this, but something as simple as cops using an escort to get to a criminal they are looking for in exchange for dropping charges?

And I read on here that outcall stings are rare, but I actually found one in the Capital Region of NYS where cops requested outcalls in various locations and arrested several women. I believe this happened during covid.

Nothing like this ever happens in real life..  Ironically, very strange things do happen in real life - hence the adage life is stranger than fiction, but these strange things are better left to life...

I love reading... Read everyday 90 min before going to bed.. No TV.. No Social Media.

Only way its worth the time and money is that if the client / host is a high profile person.  Then, for sure, there is lot to gain.

LE is going to send a female cop into a hotel room by herself? I guess it’s theoretically possible but I don’t know of any cases like this.
.
And if the guy is as you say “high profile” then wouldn’t he, or someone that works for him, makes sure he researches the hell out of the girl?
.
Stings are really only viable when someone lets their guard down. Every single time a provider ever told me she got busted it was always a case of her then saying “I didn’t screen that guy.”
.
From what I know, LE puts up a hot pic of a girl and they then bust every guy that shows up. The other way is to book a girl that may not screen properly and bust her in the morning and then nail every guy that shows up the rest of the day but both of those cases are incalls.

If the cops send a "hooker" in the client's room "all by herself" I am sure they be watching her from the next room.

As far as research goes they can always use a compromised girl - a CI of sorts.

Many way to skin this cat.. If the LE wants to put you in jail, they can find a million ways to do so.

This reads differently. The LE booked a room and requested an Outcall. They were busting the escorts (I assume more than one even though that's not stated), not the clients. In this scenario, they can book two rooms and request multiple escorts at different times and bust them one at a time. Not usual, but more feasable than LE playing the woman doing the outcalls.

Then, one escort apparently makes a deal and is flipped. Now, they are sending her out but specifically targetting a criminal who likes to book escorts. This part is a little bit more far fetched and reads like a work of fiction.

That said, I have never heard of either of these happening. If it's a sting set-up, it's almost always an escort at a hotel set-up to catch clients. This seems so much easier to pull off.

I just read Carl Hiaasen’s latest book “Fever Beach.” Part of the story is a 25yo escort pretending to be 17 blackmailing a coke addled, dimwit, corrupt Republican politician bc she has the Venmo receipts of his payments as well as pictures/videos of him wearing a dog collar and snow shoes in some comprising positions. His idea. He has to use daddy’s money to bail him out. It does not end well for him. Now THAT I can see definitely being real life.

Whenever anyone gets busted and they can trade up to get their problem removed or reduced the cops will try to make it work to get the "bigger fish".
But as it goes up the line for approval, there's always a chance it will get shot down!

It's in there.  But this has been in a lot of legal and police dramas as well.  Where prostitutes become regulars and get guys to share info they normally wouldn't because of built up trust.  Next to none of it would admissible in court.  And she is literally putting her life in danger.

I was arrested & all charges were dropped over 20 years ago I was busted in a sting operation in SD. My lawyer is the best escort attorney in San Diego. Why would anyone help the police 👮 with a charge as low as a Misdemeanor?

multiple arrests?

i would imagine more than one arrest would make them less likely to be lenient and drop charges even woth johnnie cochran incarnate as your lawyer

I have been doing this for 31 years and had 2 police officers knock at my door and managed to get out of it
