A pro site such as Veda, Orchid etc will handle everything from getting you your own domain name to a professional copywriter who will come up with the buzzwords such as exclusive, highly educated and world traveled. They are the ones who write the fake life stories for the hookers.

Unless you have experience in escort website design you are better off paying for it. They also maintain the servers and make it simple enough for the non geek to maintain the site.

How much work are you willing to put in for the best results? If you have the skills to build your website yourself from scratch get Dreamweaver CC. You will also need Photoshop C6, Gimp 2.6+, and Lightroom. You can use your own computer as a server if you try this option but I would recommend a desktop, not a laptop. Its pretty simple there are tutorials all over the internet for beginners. Watch Bring Your Own Laptop on YouTube for coding and Aaron Nace for photography/photo editing techniques.  

If you just want a website builder that allows you to completely customize your site there are a few options. Wixsite, SquareSpace. Other less favorable options are Blogger and Wordpress because you can customize more than Escort Book allows you to customize but not as much as Wixsite/SquareSpace plus Wordpress makes you upgrade just to be able to edit HTML content or change the color scheme on the themes which is stupid.  

If you are looking for a website in the box that is free and where all you have to do is upload pics and type a few things here and there, Escort Book is the only option you have. You could also pay $500+ like Oldtimemonger suggested just to have a website that looks exactly like hundreds of other websites built by the same web designer. Oh and then you will have to pay monthly fees for maintenance and upkeep. Server went down? Web designer is on an indefinite vacation, unreachable for past 4 months? Oh no! What will you do now? You paid over $1,000 to someone to design and run your site for you and then they decide web designing isn't their thing and vanish off of the face of the earth without releasing the site back to you. Yeah... no thank you
