My best experiences are in the $300 range, not the $500 plus providers. I have never paid a grand, but I can't see how a more expensive provider can out perform a $300 provider who is inspired.
There is sometimes a difference is appearance. That I will grant in some instances.
had the pleasure of attending the NYC M&G last week, had a brief conversation with a gal who said shes new at this ( has a few reviews), while she was attractive enough she surely was no head turner. She told me her rate was a grand an hour and I just smiled and said " thats nice"
For someone like me who has had some of his best experiences at 200 and my two worst at 300 an hour I dont understand what she can possibly offer that would be worth a grand an hour
I do understand that Manhattan is loaded with rich hedge fund guys who a grand means nothing to, but still. Fortunately for me I was able to hook up with clearly IMO the prettiest provider there, drove her back to her hotel after the party and had the experience of a lifetime for a small fraction of a grand

Then the provider thats at the lower rate dosent mind seeing 5 guys a day to make what that other has to .Which one fits your budget is the only thing you have to worry about .
If you have never got to experience what the higher priced gal has to offer ,you cant knock it til you try it.Im sure she is well worth her donation.
If a woman strikes my fancy, I pay her asking price. I have generally found women in the $300-$700 range to have the education level that I prefer in any woman that I have sex with. I truly can't tolerate poor spelling and incapacity to carry an intelligent conversation. May be the hedge fund managers find what they are looking for in the 1 grand per hour provider. If they do, more power to them.
Otoh, it's a crappy feeling to spend a grand, which brings higher anticipation and expectation, only to be disappointed by a dinged up, average experience from someone who actually prefers pomposity and material crap. A woman is free to charge whatever she feels her services are worth. As customers we usually shop at a particular price point. While I've never spent a grand for an hour of sex I've had better experiences with some $200 an hour CL or BP women who could barely speak English than I've had with some $400 an hour girls with dozens of reviews.
With notable exceptions on the low end "one and done" side of the spectrum, my experience has been that more costly does not always mean better.

Another thing that happens when a girl is new, sometimes, is she gets stars in her eyes. Especially when newbie SP (Canadianism meaning "service provider") wannabe ladies hear about what money some women make and they think "hell, I can do that!".
I admire the enthusiasm that this indicates, but it's usually not quite as easy as she might be thinking. You folks in the East do have a slightly different (higher) price for most everything than those of us in the West. But being a new PYT it's easy to mis-judge the market.
As others have indicated, typical supply/demand often dictates prices. And price per hour doesn't ALWAYS indicate much about quality of experience. Typical business 101 theory says that we capitalists should raise our prices if we are too busy, and are willing to have a few folks drop off the end while making up for it in the higher price we charge for our services. These are all things she will learn if she gives it some time and pays attention.
But there are always some "outliers" who are able to operate completely independently of the "typical" rules of business. It keeps things interesting, don't you think?

But after a while, after the variety seeking hobbyists have had their taste, these same girls then need to lower their prices to maintain their business. That's when they realize that it's actually work. Those that learn to run it as a business can success; those that don't, won't.

but I don't see 1k ladies. The one constant with the high end ladies is the incall is usually nicer (Four Seasons vs Comfort Inn) and she might greet you at the door wearing LaPerla lingerie or Manolo Blahnik pumps. TBH as long as the incall is clean and safe, and the fact the lingerie and pumps don't stay on long all that stuff is secondary to whether she can deliver a great performance. Now don't get me wrong sometimes I like the Four Season and La Perla, but then again sometimes I don't
I have spent $250 and had a great time. I have spent $800 and had a great time. Do I compare the two? Of course not! Was one "worth" $550 more? Of course not! Was the $550 spent needlessly? Of course not! If you want to stick to $200, is that OK? Of course! Price obviously is a major selling point for you, but it isn't for everyone, and you don't have to be a hedge fund manager to go higher. I LOVE Steak au Poivre at Bistro 60 in NYC, and I LOVE the Sausage Muffin from the dollar menu at McDonald's, which my income is MUCH more suited for. Do I spend more on one than the other? Of course! Do I LIKE one more than the other? Of course not! A chacun son gout!
