The great thing about BC pills is you can adjust your cycle to make it convenient for you. For example, if my period is due to start tomorrow but I have an important multi hour appointment, rather than cancel and lose the money, I will keep taking the pills a few days longer; i.e. "rescheduling" the period to make it more convenient for me.
