There are sad people in all walks of like....Hobby World not withstanding.  Not a shrink, but psychologically John appeared to inflict pain and anguish so at the end of the day he could “rescue” her. This woman appears strong enough to rebound, but it is disheartening that she was really good to him, only to be stalked without mercy.  He also  has a deep resentment toward attractive women with an even deeper resentment that his sex life is totally transactional.

My theory has long been there is a higher proportion of screwed-up, stalkerish dicks (and dick-ettes) in our little world than in most others, except maybe the gun-nut/QAnon crowd. Why? Because the world of sex is more bound up in deep, dark, emotional repression, trauma and dysfunction. And it expresses itself in all sorts of bizarre behavior. This is just one example.

I don't mean to make light of what happened to her, stalkers are a hookers worst nightmare and the problem is all too real with women, hookers and non hookers alike, actually getting killed by the fucking sickos who want, but fail to possess them.  

A once TER escort now persona non grata here had a similar situation in which a guy befriended her, met her kids, helped her out, but also harassed her and likely led the cops to bust her for prostitution.  The brother of the guy thinks he was also responsible for murdering his ex-girlfriend but that's never been proved.
