One would think the only physical sensation of pleasure was orgasm based on this study.

Orgasm is the *climax* of physical ecstasy, there are sensations of pleasure leading up to orgasm, and pretty acute sensations of pleasure after orgasm since the nerves are so sensitive.  The before and after pulses of pleasure make people moan. I experience intense physical pleasure when kissed on the neck, and I moan.

Never mind psychological pleasure. The feeling of having your hair pulled, of feeling someone slam into your body, of seeing your partner flushed with passion - all sincerely worthy of "Copulatory Vocalizations".

I also moan when I experience the pleasure of a good non-sexual massage or bite into food that is absolutely delicious. There is more to pleasure than orgasm, and there is more to pleasurable vocalizations than stroking someone's ego.

What an idiotic study, I can't believe people wasted time and money on this... still no cure for cancer.

I read a similar study on this a while ago. Something about "why do women make vocalizations prior to male orgasm..."

Unless 'hobbyists' are categorically different from 'men,' I can definitively say that men begin to thrust more vigorously right before they come. Thus more pleasure (for the woman/me). Thus female vocalizations directly proceeding male orgasm.

That a sexologist/guru on human sexuality is encouraging women to NOT verbalize their sexual desires into words:

"Women are learning to take responsibility for their own sexual needs and wants in the bedroom,” explains Brisben. “We need to take this one step further and give ourselves permission to become teachers. Use vocalization to teach your partner what feels good. It can help you say, 'stop, go, yes, more please' - without sounding like a traffic cop.”"

I mean, she literally says, "don't say it. Just moan, change your moans, stop moaning. Or else you'll sound like a traffic cop." How pathetic is that? [face in hands]

I really love when a women tells me what she likes.  I'm getting off on getting her off, and if I can do it better or a particular think will rock her world I definitely want to hear.

But since when is "moaning" the same thing as an orgasm? Like Laurensummerhill said, moaning is a subconscious, automatic response to some kind of stimulation that feels good. I don't "consciously" moan. I also moan (like she said) automatically when kissed the right way on the right spot or when my nipples are licked or sucked a certain way. And I don't moan when it doesn't feel good!

And moaning isn't an orgasm! I don't "moan" when I orgasm! It's much louder than a "moan" I would express due to stimulation that feel good.

And since when can we compare human behavior to baboons to determine if it's legitimate? Baboons don't like to cum on their partner's face, so does that say ANYTHING about the male human desire to do so?

No, NO, NO, NO!!! All moaning by women isn't "faked" or consciously intentional (read: strategic) like this study suggests.
