Firstly , I'm pretty sure I misspelled that word...lol.
Even though I tend to stay at upscale hotels I still always spray the hell out of everything with Lysol.
Not really sure if it makes a dif but still......

Perhaps bring Lysol and make sure to wipe all doorknobs, counters, use a tissue to switch on/off lights. Or wash your hands regularly after any contact with anything in the room. I always ask to wash hands before session for this reason. Touching your car handle/steering wheels and hotel doors and then touch ladies' private parts? ugh... lol

Probably one of he worse places was in Portland OR. I walked in and the first thing I found was a used condom on the bed. There was graffiti sprayed on the walls in the main room and the bathroom. There were all sorts of crusty stains on the carpet that I didn't even want to think about.

I slept in my clothes and used my motorcycle jacket for a pillow.

60 Minutes or another investigative journalism show went to a bunch of hotels and did their inspections and found, in fact, the actual material that Comedy Central is joking about. Their blacklights, swipes and tests turned up jizz all over the place. Yep: bed spreads, pillows, light switches, outlets (the outlets underneath the furniture - how the hell did it get there?), radio buttons, telephone, walls, ... even a ceiling, if I remember correctly.

I, for one, am far more careful with my jizz. I've surely soiled some bed coverings, carpets, and water faucets but I try to make sure that most of it goes where it's supposed to go: in her mouth.

Puh-lease, a little consideration for the other guests.

For may years I was an academic physician doing research that was of great interest to others so I spent a lot of time traveling and in hotels like so many others who travel a lot for a living. As a vagabond and not well financed student I lived in Europe for almost a decade and took advantage of every cheap trip which meant nights in cheap European student hostels.  I travel less, but stay in hotels all the time and spend a lot of time in hospitals, nursing homes and with sick people.  I, like most people, including road warriors have never gotten sick doing this. Growing up I lived on NY subways and buses and swam in public pools during polio epidemics just like millions of others.  We simply can't be that vulnerable and most  viruses and bacteria that are dangerous don't thrive on dried ejaculate.
This all sounds so scary, but except in limited cases (Shigella which leads to an unpleasant bout of abdominal pain and bloody diarrhea  --sorry about that-- can easily be transmitted from a sufferers stool to his/her hand to your hand to your mouth before the sufferer is overtly ill without very careful hand washing and yet shigella epidemics are reportable and rare.)
I am more afraid of drunk drivers and those who text while driving than of the repulsive stuff I may sleep with (I said stuff not people) when I stay in a hotel room

Of those whose job it is to make sure our hotel rooms are sanitary are telling us they aren't?

The bedspread.  Do NOT lie on it.  Pull it down and fuck on the sheets.  The sheets, at least, get washed every time the room is cleaned.  The bedspread?  Weekly at best.

Not only does this apply to hotels but clubs and private parties as well.

And not only do men leave messes but I have seen some ladies super soak right through a hotel mattress after squirting a few times.

Take proper measures, wash your hands, do not put your feet in your mouth after walking on the floors, unless of course you are into that...Yes, that fetish does exist! Basic common sense.

I try not leave a mess.  I take out my own trash and I never have a mound of towels.  I don't expect to walk into a sterile setting although I would like to think that if you do your research and stick to a "higher end" hotel that your chances of the room being cleaner are higher but who are we kidding.  People can be pigs when they get out of their normal surroundings and away from the kids, or parents or SO.  So cum on people,  life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

Thanks for sharing Sarah,

Safe weekend everybody!

Kisses

Elle Vegas

Thanks for the reminder! Always bring flip flops to walk around the room in the morning. As far as the other things, door knobs, remotes, bed covers etc I take as much precaution as possible.

Another consumer affairs expose (real, not Comedy Central) used hidden cameras to show that cleaning staff took many shortcuts. The paper sealed toilet seat "sanitized for your convenience:" if it looks clean, just apply the paper seal and leave the germs to fight it out. The sanitary wrapped glasses on the sink or tray in the bedroom? Same deal: if they look clean, just re-wrap them and put them back. And other stuff that is just cosmetically cleaned w/o really being cleaned at all.

Mike Tyson was not charged with rape.  The best hotel in Indianapolis had MANY different DNA samples on the bedspread so they had to go for a lesser charge.

Weekly?!!? We all wish!

A good friend of mine's wife majored in hospitality and works in that field. She swears that in nice hotels, the bedspread is washed annually. Every time I'm in a hotel room the first thing I do is peel the bedspread off the bed into a pile at the foot of the bed, then wash my hands and put out the sign that says don't clean the room. Learned that from her.

Also, they say the nastiest thing in most homes is the TV remote, if not your phone. Imagine hotels are the same.

I remember watching a story about the Tyson trial (60 Minutes?) where one major problem the prosecution had was that there were DNA samples from many different men on the bedspread of the hotel (Indy Hyatt Regency?).  I think lesser charges (deviancy) were also required... perhaps I remember it wrong and this was done because they were uncertain if rape charges would "stick" because of the bedspread?  Sorry, it's been a while...

Your post is a good example of how people will put up all kinds of shit here without checking their facts.  So people need to be skeptical and do their homework.

I admitted I was wrong, but there WERE issued involving the number of different semen samples on the bedspread... and that was the subject of the OP.  Perhaps you should admit to being an asshole?

Now you need to admit you're an over-sensitive little girl. :)
And your panties are in such a knot you had to stalk me on the Morocco thread.
Settle down, Mae.

And you're really not up to the task.  You need to re-take the course in "Game 101," Mae.
