Today I am in a class covering soldering copper pipe. We are watching a video that runs about 30 minutes and the guy in the video is explaining the process.
He is soldering a piece of pipe into an elbow and showing the proper techniques to use when doing so. The flared end of the elbow that the pipe fits into is called the cup. He's soldering away and says something along the lines of "Now I want you to pay particular attention to how I completely filled the cup." I, alone, bust out laughing. The whole room is staring at me and the pretty young lady sitting next to me is asking what I think is so funny. I mumble something about I must have heard that wrong and tried to shrink into my chair. Anyone else have a tell that they are a hobbyist? If anyone in that class is a hobbyist I'm sure he knows I am too now.
especially since Turdy has given every woman he has ever reviewed a 10 for performance. Of course the risk RY runs is that if Turdy only gives her a 9/9, that would be like getting a 5/5 from anyone else.
I only wonder when Turdy & Co will figure out how to give out 11/11's so they can set a new threshold in sucking up
Just a whole lot of idiots misusing the phrase to "have a cup" which derives from the old commercial. It really annoys me how many guys think they are filling or spilling a cup.
