I first want to thank the women who have honestly answered this question and I am grateful for the opportunity of this discussion. I am sure glad that I don't rely upon this business as a sole means of support. I have experienced in the last month totally unpredictable waves that don't stand to rhyme or reason, other than the economic crisis that we are facing.
In the past, without failure, when I have had a new review hit the board I have enjoyed what I jokingly refer to as "rock star" popularity. My phone and email box blow up with requests for my companionship and I can count on making a minimum of $5000 within the first 5 days or so. I have never placed a paid advertisement for my services in the past because I drew enough business from TER members and free ads that I placed.
Earlier this month I had a new review post on the board. I would characterize it as my worst review in comparison to my others, even though it was still a good review by most people's standards. And, like usual, I enjoyed my phone and email box being full of requests.
Just 2 weeks later, my best review yet posted, giving me a 10. What was even better was that I was lucky enough to have this review post on a Friday night and held the first spot on the board for most of the evening. My phone was silent. My email box empty. Not one single request that night or the next day. I went crazy trying to figure out what was wrong.
My website had gotten nearly 2000 hits over a 24 hour period, but not one single request. I changed my pics on my website and tried to figure out if there was anything wrong with my site. I was completely baffled because I look better than ever having lost a tremendous amount of weight, and my performance and service has increased significantly in quality with the experience that I have gained over time as my new review reflected.
So, I had to take a step back and not take it personally. Which, I believe is what all of us providers should do. Instead of denying what is happening and taking it as some sort of reflection upon how desirable we are, we need to share our experiences with each other and network to come up with new ways to market and get the guys back in.
Afterall, the two industries that survived and thrived during the great depression were drugs and sex. And, I don't see men being able to survive long without sessions with the providers that give them all that they need, want and desire. With that said, there has to be a solution to this break down in business ... even if the solution is for all of us to be patient and support each other through this difficult time until people feel safe again spending their money.
And, you providers who are still thriving and bringing in new business could make a huge difference for all of us if you shared your secrets to success. I'm sick of providers in this industry acting as if we are competing against each other for the attention of a small group of men. It's absurd and ridiculous. There are as many potential clients as there are men in the world. There is no shortage of men who want to have sex. And, they are fickle in their taste of women. Some men like tall women. Some men like fat women. Some like brunettes and others like blonds. Many like a wide variety.
Even with all of my education, which includes an M.B.A., and all of my business experience, alone I can not come up with answers during this time of economic crisis. We have never faced this level of crisis before so there is no model or standards to follow. If we are going to get through this, it will require CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING. And, I do know this. There is nothing more powerful than when women get together to create. If we women put our best creative energy together, there is nothing that can stop us from being successful.
And men, what happened to your sense of HONOR?? Don't you know that when you ask a provider to lower her rates to see you, you cheapen yourselves??!! Why on earth would you want to degrade the value of a woman and the service she gives you? Can you not see that this behavior intrinsically undermines who you are and the service you end up getting? We providers give you something essential to the foundation of your happiness. We do our part and take care of you and have taken care of you over the long haul. Men of honor don't forget that and are willing to pay the full price in order to take care of and value the women who so generously take care of you.
I am very fortunate...I have awesome regulars whom are some of the coolest people I have ever met...most are my true friends...we get along good even when we are dressed
