We follow your protocol. We respond to your monosyllabic inquiries/directives. We profer up our first-born. Then you have the F'in audacity to NOT SHOW UP.

Yeah I'm pissed off!!! I am so F'in fed-up with being lectured about how PRECIOUS your TIME is to ya' while in response you frickin disrespect MINE.

HAPPY F'IN BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Hell, I would be---fucking shame it happened on your birthday. As I see it , you have 3 options :
1. Move on to another provider 2.Since there seems to be a problem in your hometown, only hobby out of town. 3. Give up hobbying alltogether.

NCNS seems to be one of the prevalent pitfalls of hobbying; aside from the 3 options I mentioned, I don't know what else you can do.

Sorry you did not notch your headboard.  There really is no excuse for NCNS from either party.  It is simply unprofessional on a lady's part & boring behavior on his.
Emergencies DO happen.  Contacting the other party at the first opportunity is the right thing to do.  I had to break a date at the last minute when a sudden cloudburst turned the interstate into a parking lot.  I was stopped in the highspeed lane...  and very frustrated...  when I called her.  We rescheduled & had a delightful time on another day.
I have heard of sudden illnesses and traffic accidents.  I have had nasty sudden illnesses myself (humiliated me in front of friends & family) but luckily have never had to cancel a date because of it.  The lady can not call her client, in front of the traffic cop.
If she were legitimately ill or injured, she should contact you to explain that at the first opportunity, appologize & reschedule.  She owes you that & a longer visit for the same fee perhaps to make it up to you.  If she does not contact you, then she flaked & I'd not give her a second chance to do that to me.

It is irritating and annoying and can be expensive as well.  I had paid to fly girls into NYC twice (I live in FL) and they NCNS'd.  I was torqued to say the least.

One thing the ladies need to understand is that this is an event for us guys.  Most do it only once or twice a month (as opposed to daily or weekly for some ladies)and we get worked up, excited and in a hormonal frenzy days ahead of the appointment time.

I have hung out with ladies who blew off appointments because they just didn't feel like it and it bothered me.

Posts of this nature should go to his regional board if he's going to name names, times. He's got every right to be pissed and the provider probably doesn't have an excuse because she likely fucked up the scheduling or time or worse, took a longer session. I've had that happen.

While I do agree it is just common courtesy to call with an explanation at the first opportunity, what kind of person do you really think you're dealing with?  These people are hardly the pillars of society who we might expect courteous and respectful behavior from.
Just remember you're dealing with h**kers so set your expectations a little lower and you won't be disappointed.

Providers endure it too (while dealing with clients who pontificate about being the most courteous, most respectful gentlemen we could possibly imagine to ever be graced by).

It happens on both sides of the aisle.  This business, as any other, is littered with disrespectful people who don't know the value of another's time or interest.

Of course I was making a generalization.  There are always exceptions to everything.  It was not my intent to demean the entire provider community.  And of course hobbyists can be the same way.  When bad things transpire in the course of our shady activities, my viewpoint allows me to see things the way they are, and not get pissed or disappointed and rant like your original post.

I can only think of one valid excuse. Her appointment right before you ended in a pair of pretty silver bracelets. Barring that, there really is no excuse for the NC part. Emergencies do happen, but its a stretch to excuse failing to call in the event that some sort of emergency does happen.

Not all providers are equal.

There are important differences between providers because occupation does NOT define a person. In fact, it is quite the other way around. The person's characteristics will be reflected in how they undertake their profession.

Think about that for a second.

Yes, you are paying for sex. But you are paying for sex with a //person//. And that person's characteristics in all respects will have an affect on not just the sex, but everything surrounding it as well. Including whether the appointment takes place at all.

You imply that this circumstance is happening to you quite often. In fact, EVERY time you deal with a local lady.

Sorry -- for something to be happening that often, it isn't coincidence. There is some common characteristic possessed by those you are booking. And that common characteristic -- whatever it is -- results in disrespect for your time and trouble.

If you keep getting shitty results; don't keep doing the same thing. Change something you are doing so you can change your results.

In other words, use a different selection method or criteria for selecting the ladies you see.

But beyond that -- I'm going to give a little rant in your favor as well.

The time, goodwill and human value of a hobbyist are EVERY BIT as great as those of a provider. I realize this statement goes against Female Supremacist Dogma, but it is true. Just being a female and/or being a provider conveys to the woman no greater intrinsic human value than in a man or hobbyist. It conveys no less, but also no greater.

Disrespect is disrespect. In either direction.

I do recall "MoeTheBully" formerly being an alias.  It's pretty rich that you suggest that for credibility on an internet message board I need provide my real handle when there is nothing but a collection of nastier cynicism assigned to yours.
I'll share my reviews when you share yours, until then I don't have anything to prove to you.  On second though, I will never have anything to prove to you.

And yes, every single business is littered with people who routinely disrespect the time and business of their clients.
In the real world, those people get FIRED.  "Doctors, lawyers, accountants, mechanics, electricians, plumber, brokers etc", why if they were all paradigms of society we wouldn't ever see malpractice suits, small claims courts wouldn't exist, review & accountability sites would be unheard of etc.

In this world, providers who aren't timely or disrespect those interested in their business or service get FIRED too or at least they are by clients who refuse to accept mistreatment at top-dollar.  One-track minded clients who are silly and want to get their rocks off at any cost continue to patronize equally silly providers are simply fools.  You would agree that there are simpletons in all walks of life, correct?

Anyway, bitching about providers who aren't held accountable is about as futile as a provider bitching about how she can't enforce a cancellation fee when doctors, lawyers, electricians, plumbers etc. can.
No this business isn't exactly the same as a "legitimate" one because it is not legal and it is not regulated.  That doesn't mean that the participants in it don't mirror society as a whole.

I know more providers who have college degrees and are more influential in their communities than I can count on one hand.
Please don't refer to us as "hardly pillars of society"
While I am sure that is true about some - why group us all into one stereotype?!
And if you want to use this argument - you guys playing with us are no better than us then.
So who are you to cast judgement??

I didn't really care enough about his original post to make any noise about it. Notice I didn't bother to respond to his first post. I'm a big girl, and if I had any illusions about the degree of respect some (notice the use of the word some) men hold for providers, this board goes along way to dispelling those illusions on a daily basis.

But when he replies and says "I wasn't making a generalization" while reinforcing his original generalization, my BS meter goes off. I simply couldn't resist pointing out his fail :)

Those who act professionally are indeed the exception when you consider the vast population of providers.  Go on CL, Cityvibe, Eros, or any number of escort mall websites or anywhere else for that matter and collectively there are thousands of providers (or hookers....whatever).  We use TER to sort out the good from the bad.  The ones who are legitimate (if that word can be used here) and who operate their business in a professional manner are truly the minority.  TER helps us identify these providers.  I will stand by my assertion that the true courtesans are indeed the exceptions.  For every well-reviewed provider there are probably ten or more skanks and rip-offs.  So yes, the good ones are the exception.

SOTF, I'm surprised you are so sensitive and PC about this, given your persona on the P/R board.
Please reflect on the validity of my points before you cast me as a villain.

NCNSs are not good.  Guys get upset when a provider NCNSs.  Providers get upset when clients NCNS.  Both have valid points but neither ever seems to acknowledge it happens both ways.

NCNS reasons I have run into that I considered valid (and was able to confirm were true):
--Mom had heart attack and rushed to ER
--Car crash on the way to see me

But most the time the answer is something guys don't want to hear:  kids.  Yes, lots of providers have young kids.  Young kids get sick at inopportune times.  Young kids can't be left alone very well and if the babysitter NSs, gess what the ripple effect is.  Trouble is is she even mentions the kids a lot of clients get pissed.  Many of them feel it's a real Catch 22.

If, as you are trying to claim now, you didn't really mean to include the members here in your broad brush, they why post it here without explaining that in the first place?  Which group of people did you think would be likely to read it here?

Now you are trying to convince us that what your first post really said was "Almost all providers are sleazy, except any of you who hear this."

I don't know you and I certainly don't have enough info to categorize you as a villain, but I do feel your post was in bad form and trying to do spin control isn't helping.

It is becoming more obvious with each post how you see this part of the universe, and it's a dark set of shades you are wearing.

But to answer your question, in the past 18 mos of trying to get my mother's house repaired for her:
--3 roofers NCNS'd
--2 plumbers came out, gave me an estimate, I accepted, we picked a date, and then never showed
--a carpenter came out, took the doors off the kitchen cabinets, took his lunch break and never came back.  And he took the cabinet hardwear with him
--the tile guy NCNS'd 3 times when he was supposed to come back and finish his work.  I finally did it myself and then he sued because I didn't pay him for the work he didn't do.

On a different front, you have never had a disrespectful Dr with no bedside mannor?  If you haven't you are fortunate, and probably in the minority.

Try asking a simple question about the fine print at mortgage closing and see how disrespectful a loan closer can be.  The last one told me, and it is a quote, "What fucking right do you think you have to ask questions?".

Ever buy a car and ask a tough question about of the car salesman that he can't answer?  Yea, THOSE guys don't have any disrespect in their make-up.  "Are you here to buy a car or waste my time?"

And out of curiosity, what does it really matter about aliases?  Do you, for example, think my name truely is "Alfred Reader".  Is yours truly "Mo"?  You do seem to try and live up to your self proclaimed "bully" title.

And lastly, providers who do get a rep for NCNSing frequently DO suffer in their business.  Maybe not as much as you want them to, I don't know.

The name moethebully has never been an alias as far as I know. Please reference any post made by moethebully that doesn't have the yellow envelope next to the name.  If so, I will stand corrected.

Again, your assertion that "every single business is littered" with disrespectful people is pure nonsense.  When was the last handful of times a doctor has NCNS a patient, or a hairdresser has NCNS his client, or a lawyer has NCNS a client.  It happens, but to assert that "every single business is littered" with these types of people and behavior means that you are saying bad behavior is the norm...when in fact it is not in our general society.

Perhaps in your zeal to disagree with me and paint me as the bad guy, you overlook reality.

I was recalling a post in which your alias was flipped to this handle because the moderator and powers-that-be decided that there were too many aliases handling a sensitive subject on the DC board.

Since you are preoccupied with my use of the word "littered" I'll modify my comment.

Every single business contains people who disrespect other people's time.  I stand by that assertion 100%.

No, bad behavior is not normative but every single business contains instances of it.

No, I do not agree that sex workers are disproportionately irresponsible compared to every other human being or professional and I do not agree with your original "consider the source" comment.

While you're busy painting yourself as a martyr for holding an unpopular point of view above, understand that if a provider were to say to the viewership "I experienced a NC/NS, but I guess that's par for the course with unethical, immoral men who obsessively spend their time looking for ways to cheat on their spouses undetected while taking money from their children's college fund -- these guys aren't exactly pillars of society" she would get whapped on the head by people with a problem with nasty generalizations  just as you have in this thread.

Instead of trying to defend your POV to the hilt and dismiss the responses as White Knighting perhaps you should consider why so many people have an issue with it.

moethebully 379 reads

I have clarified my "nasty" generalization above but people (and you) still refuse to acknowledge the simple facts.
Sex workers ARE more irresponsible compared to other mainstream professions simply because there are so many.  The number of legitimate providers pales in comparison to the scammers and rip-offs.  Go to eros, CL, cityvibe or anywhere else and the chances are there are more rip-offs than quality providers.  That's why TER exists.  Would TER exist if the majority of sex workers were on the up and up?  Going strictly by the numbers, this industry has more bad apples than good ones....not reflective of society where there are more good apples than bad ones.  Based on this fact, I made a generalization and acknowledged that there are exceptions too.
I point out an unpopular fact and I am vilified.
Let's agree to disagree.  I understand facts get in the way of emotion.
My original post was just to help a guy get over his anger and disappointment by bringing him back to reality...the kind of reality that is not welcome here apparently.

Your generalization was as it happens all the time to JUST you. Note to MOE: TER is a review site and discussion board. Should you glean useful information, fine, but it is not here to ensure you sessions go perfect. In fact, most of the information is patently false and are for entertainment purposes only. Yes, it is F'ing aggravating, but deal with it just as (I hope) you manage with all the morons on the highways, WalMart, work, wherever...

I know we get worked up and have expectations that are not of the everyday sort when preparing to visit a provider, but that really changes little.

Buck up and grab those boot straps... ask the provider WTF, and if need be, out the gal, but leave out the histrionics. I don't want guys making all clients look bad any more than the ladies want "CL/BP ladies" making all providers look bad.
