...if the ribs got broken DURING the fun part...

Yeah, I had an unfortunate encounter with a drum set last night and broke one of my ribs, The way I'm feeling right now I'm going to be out of commision for awhile. Anybody have any experience with hobbying while injured?

I broke a toe while hobbying once. It felt better to tape it. I'd recommend to stick to bbbjs and her riding Cow girl until you feel better.

Just know some activities are going to require a bit of creativity to overcome the sensitivity.

But aren't you supposed tobeat on the drums and not vice-versa. 8o). Sorry about that, I can resist anything but temptation. My suggestion would be to lay on your back and hire a fellatrice (sp?)to work on your unbroken bone. I hopew you heal quickly.

It definitively sounds sweeter and sexier than any alternative I can think of, and pretty much anyone over 15 can figure out what it means.

The word is "fellatrix."  The plural of fellatrix is fellatrices.  Perfectly good words, in English or otherwise.

To seek medical attention on TER before going to the hospital 😄.

Blow into an empty bottle. That's should help. Something for the pain should help, and no, no hobbying for a while you.

Sure... The Ol empty bottle trick. Just don't believe her when she say you have to be on your "knees" to do it LOL. Seriously, all the hospital will do is tape up your chest (after they run every test X-ray, MRI, and CAT Scan that your insurance will pay for, oh and try to talk you into a colonoscopy) hobby with care - we don't want you to do any additional damage. Just remember that Drs love tests. The more the better.

...my dear Sasha that I posted that after spending all day at urgent care. They did the whole X-ray and physical exam thing and gave me a scrip for 6 (count them, 6) Percosets for use only at night and told me to come back if conditions worsened. No other treatment given or recommended.

Take some of your hobby money and GO SEE A DOCTOR!!  I hope you have health insurance or hobbycare or obamacare or something.

Even Fred Flintstone knew to go to the doctor back in the stone age.

You need an X-ray. After the doctor checks your insides and your outsides and patches you up, he or she will tell you what you can and cannot do (but you still get to decide WHO to do)

I'm betting on cracked. It takes a lot of force to break a rib and there is usually internal damage to go with it. Ribs are pretty strong. They serve an important purpose.

I believe there is a nurse in the house. I understand she can make you forget about it for awhile.

depending on where and how many your body might simply refuse to perform the usual gymnastics. My advice, go to a body shop. Ha ha, get it, body shop.  :-)

but you can probably still go for a FBSM until the rib heals.

I had a broken arm once, and did let it slow me down too much.

And one gal I met had a cast on her leg.  It was kinky fun

In the old days we used to tap up the chest. That invariably resulted in a pneumonia as part of the lung did not expand and  --like a blocked up pond with no water flow-- became infected.
The only thing to do now is to get pain relief. The pain will calm down after a relatively short time.
I use either acetaminophen with codeine or sometimes something stronger. (like oxycodone)  This is by prescription so you do need to see a doc.
Sorry about that.

But get thee to an urgent care or your doc to get it x-rayed, asap!!!

Steph xoxo

...my dearest Stephanie...

I took care of all of that before I ever got home. I did drive 250 miles from Maryland to home before I went to have it checked, though...weirdly the car was the only place I could sit where things didn't hurt, I think the driver's seat supported me in all the right places...

Then I sneezed...since then there is a constant knot of muscles back there that hasn't stopped hurting, even in the car...

You know you're screwed when the Percoset had no effect at all...

I cracked one of mine once with a heavy garment bag on a business trip to Asia.  I never thought much about it when it dropped and hit me on my side, until I woke up in MAJOR pain at about 3 am when it "popped" out of place while sleeping during an O/N with a lovely Chinese lady.  It ended up bothering me for about 6 months... but normally at about 2-3 am the same way it did that first night.  NO FUN!

True story...

Had a date with a client who was staying at a beach resort a few summers ago. His group had went out and hit a few local watering holes. By the time I arrived he was fairly juiced up. We proceeded along with our scheduled date and had some fun.
Afterwards, he wanted to go for a moonlit stroll along the beach, so he made us a cocktail and off the sandy trail we went. He suggested we cuddle up in the life guard tower. We climbed up the tower to enjoy the view for a little while. When it was time to go, I climbed back down. My date forgot how high up we were and thought he could step down.....I heard a loud thump, and saw that he was laying face down in the sand.

He was clearly in pain and not able to move on his own. He said "I broke my ribs". I helped him up and walked him to his room. I offered to get him medical assistance, hotel staff assistance, or his colleagues to get him to a hospital. He refused any of that. I was able to get him in the shower and wash the sand off, then to his bed to rest.  I stayed with him for as long as I could and reminded him to please see a doctor right away.

I called and sent several messages to him over the next couple of days, but received no responses. I hope he recovered well.

To the OP I hope you recover soon so you can enjoy your date/s without pain and suffering. You could ask one of your favorite ladies to come over dressed in a sexy nurse outfit and give you a warm sponge bath with a happy ending

Wrap your chest with an ACE bandage or wear a very tight vest for a couple weeks. That's where the term, "It only hurts when I laugh," comes from. Good luck

No way to wrap it, can't put your ribcage in a sling....you just feel screwed. Only good news is that that feeling only lasts three or four days, then it should get better.

And you might as well abstain from sex, 'cause the pain will make it bad sex--which in my book is worse than no sex.

Take painkillers. But, you know, go easy and be sensible. Addiction due to a broken rib ain't worth it.

And it's not one of those pains you can acquire a taste for and learn to enjoy (like a good spanking!) so...good luck.

...and had to adjust my position about every 15 minutes...

I can say right now that at this point I have no interest in any physical activity at all...I need a cane to help me stand up...

When you stub your toe it hurts to holy hell, but it only lasts about 45 seconds and then the pain's pretty much gone. When you break a rib it hurts for three or four days, but then the pain will be gone. Hopefully. Still might not be too limber and spry.

I'm about 60 miles north and west of you, in Orange County...;)

Suck it up..or have her do it..

I broke five while taking a tumble while mountain trekking some time ago.  Quite painful and sex was out of the question for a several weeks, but most broken ribs heel naturally in a few weeks and you have to be patient.  If you don't do anything foolish your recovery should be complete, but you need X rays if you haven't had them.
