Does anyone, hobbyists or providers alike, care to comment on the differences and similarities between the legal Nevada brothel experience and all the other provider experiences? Having never experienced a brothel, I'm curious how it compares.

Somewhere out there is a humorous thread about this, right after the offer of a free session at the Bunny Ranch, the poon lottery it was, but first you must waste your frequent flyer miles to go to Reno's trash town, instead of a City by the Sea in British Columbia, or Prague, or Odessa, or Toronto, or Victoria, where there is no RED CRUSHED VELVET.

When interior designers and editors of Architectural Digest die, and go to HELL, they are usually assigned to Nevada Bordellos for all eternity. Instead of classy Victorian mansions, the bordellos are manufactured homes, hauled there in front of signs that say: WIDE LOAD!

You get the picture. Nevada brothels are not on my list of the 1000 favorite places in North America to have an erotic encounter. NV brothels are an anachronism for the moronically misinformed, the poon-info challenged, the vixenology-imbecilic.

Can somebody explain to us WHY a successful bordello owner does not create a nice spa resort in its place?

A real health spa that guys could sneak away to for a week would be brilliant, but brilliant is illegal in Nevada.

who have access to investors create a brothel/spa?  I can't imagine that it would be hard to finance!  You could put it an a part of Nevada that was easily accessible by car from LV or Reno, you could hire a world-class chef for the restaurant, put in a putting green, etc.  It's not like it would take all that much money.  And then, you could solicit those of us you really like to come out and visit to augment your staff of regulars.  What could be better?  I bet you'd make a mint.

Will be to hop a Thurs afternoon flight to Frankfurt, arriving on Friday, doing a long weekend at Atlantis, Oase, Chantal Chevalier, etc, and hopping back on Monday, all for about $2K inclusive.

I've often dreamt of such a place...a place that would combine all of my favorite activities...


A real nice 18-hole golf course...you know, the sort of place that charges $60 -$90 a round. Very well maintained, but not ridiculously difficult or pretentious (no, I will pass on Pebble Beach and Pinehurst, thank you).

For caddies, there would be attractive, intelligent young ladies who were actually familiar with the game (perhaps all former college players?). Don't worry about them lugging those heavy bags, the vast majority of 18-hole courses don't allow walking nowadays anyway. Mostly what today's caddy does is look for lost balls (yes, pun intended...lol) and rake sand traps, while providing insight into the course from experience, including yardage, etc. One guy, one gal per golf cart, maybe a $100 fee for the gal? (Ok, $75, but you cheap bastards would have to tip well). If a gal got in 3 rounds, a day, she'd be doing about as well as a good midlevel independent ASP. (I've actually read about a group of girls who do exactly this, but they travel, as opposed to being devoted to one course)

In the clubhouse, a nice spa, with REAL massages available, from certified massage technicians, who, BTW, are all hotties, and do offer "to release" services for a fee. But mostly the point is that after a tough round of golf (yes, there is such a thing...stop snickering), you could get a hot shower and massage right after.

The clubhouse restaurant would be a nice, upscale (but not pretentious...think "Morton's" or "Ruth Chris) steak house, with lots of "come hither" waitresses, and GOOD steaks (and other stuff...ok, ok). Remember the Playboy clubs? Exactly...

Adjacent to the restaurant would be an upscale strip club, on the order of "The Men's Club" chain (The Men's Club - Dallas...hubba, hubba!!). Again, upscale, not some dive with a bunch of rednecks thinking that their single dollar bill should buy them the affections of their lady of choice for the entire evening. No tee shirts, no shorts (you can change out from your golf wear into a shirt and slacks in the spa / clubhouse…a locker will be provided...for a fee). Actually, The Men’s Club chain of strip clubs are something like this…nice clubs combined with nice restaurants.

In the next room over would be a nightclub…dance floor, music, the works. Guys, how many times have you met a gal in a strip joint and thought to yourself, “I wouldn’t mind REALLY dancing with the babe”. You know, buy her a few drinks, dance a few tunes, whatever. Maybe you pay her for this privilege, maybe not.

Then lastly, much like many strip clubs in other countries, there would be opportunity to spend intimate time with a stripper, if she elected to.  Nicely appointed rooms, resources and support systems for an in house “brothel”.

Maybe one day I’ll hit that lottery and be able to finance all of this….

after our first and last visit to Chicken Ranch a couple of years ago, my buddies were waiting for me in the parking lot, putting on  the asphalt since the is only lot and desert.  Might go back if they put 18 holes in (no pun intended).

Here is some irony for you.  Lets assume this idea is a wild suck-cess (pun intended).  Hotels, pro shops (golf that is LOL) and all types of business, among other things, spring up (lol).  People relocate because of the job opportunities etc.; sort of like the boom Vegas experienced.  It becomes a real resort community and the new must visit place.  Isn't it ironic if this idea was such a hugh success the brothel would then become illegal because the county population would exceed the legal limit.

IMBW but I heard that the problem in Nevada is getting the required licenses from a bunch of local boards, most of whose members think it is cool to have wheels on your home.

One tactic would be to propose a brothel with the core purpose of hiring college students and young single moms to help them out, and including day care and health care. Put the emphasis on something universally appealing. Then do that, but do it with great resort and architectural flare. The best of all worlds.

I've had some great times at the Dallas Men's Club, and afterwards or next days with some of the naughty women there.

Not sure if this is a fact or not, but having grown up in a neighboring state where the "grown ups" frequented the ranches I heard many stories as a youngster.  Once I was told that prostitution is NOT legal in Nevada.  It is  ILLEGAL in Washo and Clark Counties (Reno and Las Vegas), just NOT ILLEGAL in any other counties.  And so it existed unchallanged.  Most of the older guys went on weekend trips to Wells or Elko where really nobody gave a rats ass what they were doing as long as they left some green stuff in their tracks.

From the responses you've received, it would seem anyway a lot of these guys are going of perceptions, or at least old news. In Pahrump the past couple of years, things have changed. Check out the link.

I had no idea of the huge number of brothels springing up in Nevada recently, and had researched this about 18 months ago I thought very thoroughly.
Surprise, the wheels have come off the trailers, and some real nice looking houses are being put up.
Still, many are eyesores, but the spas, pools, educational seminars, etc, are actually starting up.
I recall a former law in NV against advertising the brothels, so I guess they are keeping low key. I'll check to see if that's still on the books in spite of the First Amendment.
Thanks again for not calling the rest of us lazy whackoffs for not doing our research. The Bunny Ranch still looks pretty grim, and we assumed the worse. LOL

Except you can't see all the dust and grime in the photo's. The wheels are there allright, somewhat hidden under the facades. And the barb wire to the right and the left are cropped out. At any rate the pictures don't show the madame banging on the door after 20 minutes when you've laid down 4 to 6 and the gal is begging you, first to finish and second, to leave a big tip.

I would suggest visiting brothels is very much a YMMV type of thing. My point in saying things had changed was directed towards the type of facilities in use AND the girls. I can't speak to your experiences, I obviously wasn't there. But, if you haven't been in a while, then I would respectfully suggest you might be out of touch with the way things are done now. And I will quickly add that things aren't perfect there, not by a long mile, but it isn't all bad anymore.
