How do we alert others of a potential ROB?

That is, other than posting a message here, which will scroll away in a few days.  It seems like the details of a negative experience with a provider, even though no money was exchanged, would be valuable to other members here.

Yet, such reviews are apparently not ACCEPTABLE, and so I wonder just how to share my experience with others in a form that will persist.  BTW, reviews like that ARE acceptable on other review sites.

I thought about this with the other ROB post....and didn't respond because as you point out, the thread will soon be dead.

The conclusion I came to, albeit without absolute confidence, is that if you didn't lose any money, it wasn't a ROB (apparently STAFF feels the same way). (I also decided that if you end up with FS, no matter what the circumstances, that isn't a ROB either, and you were just stupid for not walking away).

Now, OF COURSE I understand the dilema...you are out of your own personal time, if not money, plus you have been inconvinenced. How do you let other hobbyist know?

I guess you just write a review, give a poor rating for performance, and post as normal.

If your experience is a bait and switch and you rejected the provider, I believe you can post a review about that.

I think only a no show review will get rejected.

It is hard to comment further unless you share more about what had happened.

As usual, MyLifeAsMe has great insights.

However, I am confused about the remark "post as normal" in your suggested solution of writing a review that gave poor rating for performance.

Do you mean that he should just submit a review about what actually happened or make up a review to past TER staff and gave a poor performance rating on the provider?

I hope it is not the latter.

Just submit a review with the facts....and I guess if you don't get laid, that would be a '1' for performance....

I'm not saying this is a perfect solution...hell, I'm not even confident about my no money loss, no "ROB" POV, but the information has to get out there somehow....

As I said above, the review was NOT ACCEPTABLE. So all of you suggesting that I submit a review, well, it was rejected and that is why I am asking the question!  How do I let others know if TER rejects such a review?  And they did it without explanation, too.

I am not sure what had happened in your encounter.  What do you mean by "potential" ROB?  Did she promise one thing on the phone and refuse to deliver after you pay her?  Is this bait and switch?  Is this an upsale?  Is this a grab and run?

It is hard to offer suggestions if we don't know what had happened.

I have posted the whole encounter here in the past and don't care to do it again.  I described the efforts of setting up an appointment, meeting her, her demand that she be paid in the parking lot, the ensuing discussion and her telling me to get lost because I wouldn't go for it. It struck me as possible grab and run. There was also some bait and switch in that she said she had a special for $150 on the phone, but then insisted on the regular $250 in person. The review is around 50 lines.  The reason for it being unacceptable is "other".

I can understand someone complaining that it doesn't describe any actual escort services and I didn't pay her any money, but I still feel it's valuable for people to see it.  If you feel like I do, send an email to TER asking them accept khulus' review of Coffee.

Save your original post by cut and paste.  Try to shorten the description to 5 to 8 lines just like what you did now (50 lines is too long).  Mark her as a rip-off.  Since it is an upsale (ask for more) and potential grab and run (want to get the money near her car), I believe it will past TER's test.

Here are similar cases:
(Actual Grab & Run)

(Refuse to provide service, hobbyist left without paying)

http://theeroticreview.com/reviews/ShowReview.asp?Review=73582&user=64487

(Provider wanted to give money to driver, hobbyist demanded money back and kicked provider out while kept his money)

The last one is very similar to your situation.  It is concise and up to the point.

You can also email Staff by pressing Review Questions in the VIP Member page.
Show TER the examples sited and argue for the admission of your review.

Good luck, don't get frustrated and keep trying.

Thanks for the input.  I will retry with the following:

I sent an email asking her to call me, we go back and forth deciding on "incall" at a motel near where I live.  Talked on phone to set up a time and establish fee. Her NORMAL fee is $250.  Special is $150. Lot's of screwing around with payphones and leaving messages, but turned out she doesn't give out a direct number anyway. FINALLY I find her in the lobby. Says she needs money before we go to the room. I said yes, but I felt too uncomfortable paying in the parking lot/lobby.  We went to the stairwell.  I asked her about this special she had mentioned on the phone, but now she says it isn't really available anyway. Sounds like a bit of a bait and switch on the price. I am starting to feel really uncomfortable with this. She says (for the second time) that the agency has a policy of getting the fee BEFORE they go to the room. Long ensuing discussion, but I am thinking: "ROB situation".  I am starting to wonder if maybe she doesn't have a room there at all. She then says forget it. I just walked away.

My philosophy is that don't let a bad apple spoil the whole meal.  You had a bad experience.  You wanted to warn others.  You tried.  Now is the time to move on and have fun with other well-reviewed providers.

Good luck.  Have fun.
